winter doesn't hurt me(except it does)

Summary:

I wrote this a long time ago, just sonic being a baby boy

Work Text:

Tom and Sonic got stuck in the truck during a snowstorm. Sonic thought he could handle the cold, but he’s wrong. He curls up and rolls into Tom’s lap. Tom began to pet his head, and Sonic purred. Tom yanked his hand away, but Sonic wanted more, so he pets him.

“Please don’t tell Maddie about this.”

“Okay, kitty.”

“Stop.”

The snow stopped as they drove home. Sonic was shivering when he got out. He zipped inside first, only to bump Maddie.

“So you said you could handle the snow, kid?”

“H-hey, that’s what I said, only for fifteen minutes.”

She sighs. “Looks like you need a warmup.”

His ears dropped. He knows what she’s talking about. He tried to reach the puller to the attic, but it’s too late. Maddie carried him to the bathroom, the tub is full of warm water. Sonic hissed when his paw touched the water. Maddie tries to calm him as Sonic keeps kicking his legs. She managed to calm him down and carefully lowered him into the tub. He wasn’t enjoying it.

Sonic is resting on the couch wearing an oversized red hoodie and thick colorful socks. He couldn’t help but stare at the ceiling, waiting for dessert. His ear twitched when he heard the ding. Cookies are ready! He dashed to the kitchen to see Maddie decorating them.

“Oh, just in time, Sonic! We baked cookies!” Maddie set the cookies on a plate. Sonic took one bite. His eyes ascended and began to jump around. He wanted more. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long when he began to feel exhausted. He fell to the couch, feeling doozy.

“Well someone had a sugar rush.” He was shocked to see Tom sitting down, petting his head once again. Maddie joined them later with a blanket. They both watched Sonic falling asleep and enjoying watching the snow falling.
