What happened to the daughter I raised?

Summary:

Salty one shot.
Lila has turned Marinette's parents against her and they kick her out.
(Tom isn't in the story but he supports Sabine)

Notes:

The stories in this series will most likely be salty, short and one shots.
Well... I'm planning on them being one shots, we'll see if I actually achieve that...

Work Text:

Sabine snapped out of her memories of a happy and friendly Marinette, the daughter she had been before Lila came and Marinette transformed into a complete stranger. She watched as Marinette walked towards the apartment door, pulling a suitcase behind her. She didn’t even acknowledge Sabine standing there.

“What happened to the daughter I raised?” Sabine asked, not realising she had asked the question aloud.

She watched as Marinette froze and turned to look at her, her expression blank and her eyes icy.

“Marinette! I’ve had enough of your lies!”

“But Mama—”

“Enough! I don’t know where we went wrong that you think bullying a new student is even remotely okay!” Sabine yelled, ignoring the tears in Marinette’s eyes.

“I’m not—”

“I said enough! I don’t want to hear it! I’ve seen the bruises on that poor girl and all because of what? Jealousy over a boy?”

“Why won’t you list—” Marinette yelled but was cut off.

“Don’t you raise your voice at me young lady!” Sabine growled out, glaring at Marinette. “I’ve had enough, pack your things and get out. You have twenty minutes and then I want you out.” Sabine said, storming out of Marinette’s room and heading to the kitchen.

-- Present --

“What happened to the parents that raised me?” Marinette asked.

Sabine opened her mouth but before she could say anything Marinette scoffed. “Don’t worry, I’m not expecting a response. I’m well aware of the fact that the parents I once had are long gone, replaced with, well, you.”

Sabine was too shocked by Marinette words to respond before Marinette walked out of the door.
