It was Moniwa's birthday, and when he woke up, he was greeted with a cake to his face.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
Moniwa groaned and wiped the cake off his face. Once he did so, he could look at the person clearly, and he sighed upon seeing who it was.
"Luc... It's 7 AM" Moniwa groaned.
The said boy is Luciel, his dearest cousin. He laughed before dragging Moniwa out of bed.
"Get changed loser, we're going to the amusement park with your moms." Luc declared.
"And why are you coming again?" Moniwa asked with a hint of tease.
"You know you love me!!" Luciel shouted before walking out the door.
Moniwa just rolled his eyes, though a sparkle of joy can be seen in his eyes.
When Moniwa went downstairs, he was greeted by the smell of coconut and vanilla. As well as the sight of Luc and his moms gathered around a table, which has a few presents and a white frosted cake on it.
"Happy birthday Kaname!" His two moms said with joy, hugging the black haired male.
Moniwa hugged back, smiling warmly. "Thanks mom, thanks mama"
"Look at you getting older." Luciel joked, nudging Moniwa's shoulder lightly.
"Oh shush!"
The family sat around the table, singing happy birthday as Moniwa blew out tha candles on his cake. They clapped and cut the cake into slices, eating as they joke around.
Moniwa also opened the present from his moms. They gave him a pair of new volleyball shoes and his favorite book series. He didn't opened Luc's present because even though Luciel said the present is innocent, the glint in his eyes said ohterwise.
Moniwa opted to open the present later.
It was 12 AM
Moniwa had already spent the day with his moms and Luciel. They played Mario Bros (And got ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED by Luc), ate the cake, and they even watched Moniwa's favorite movie.
But even after all that, Moniwa felt like something's missing.
His friends, and his boyfriend.
They haven't wished him happy birthday. They didn't even read his good morning greeting.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't slightly worried and scared.
'Did they forgot? If they did they wouldn't ignore my messages would they? Do they suddenly hate me? Why hasnn't Yasushi said anything? Do they-'
"Oi Kaname!!"
Moniwa's thoughts were interrupted by Luc calling him.
He turned to see his cousin with a worried expression, eyebrows furrowed and lips pouted.
"O-oh, Luc... What's up?" Moniwa chuckled.
"You're spacing out again, it's the third time today!" Luc huffed.
"Y-yeah... Sorry..."
Luciel was silent for a moment, before he grabbed Moniwa's hand and dragged him out of the house.
"L-luc?" Moniwa asked, "Where are we going??"
"C'mon, let's get your mind cleared." Was Luc's only answer.
Moniwa just followed as Luc dragged him to a small park. It wasn't really corwded, so Luc immediately pushed him onto the swings.
"Ah, the swings. I remember when you told me to lick the swingsets when we were young." Luc said, as if he's imagining the 'good ol' days'.
"No, I said 'Luc, don't lick that swingset' and you said 'Don't tell me what to do' and licked the swingset." Moniwa said with a deadpan expression, making Luciel laugh.
Luciel pushed the swing slowly. If it was himself on the swing, he'd swung himself until he's thrown off the swing. But knowing his cousin liked it slow and gentle (Not like when he's in bed-//PLAK), he just pushed it normally.
"You remember when I set coach's car on fire? Fun times huh?" Luciel said once more.
"You were lucky nothing happened to you, that was a felony dude.
Once again, Luciel snorted. Moniwa slightly smiled, Luciel has always been there for him and he feels very lucky that Luc is his cousin.
If only his teammates are here too.
Thinking about them made Moniwa frown once more. They still hasn't said anything and it's starting to get to him.
He was sighing and wallowing in self pity when Luc suddenly stopped pushing, and covered Moniwa's eyes with a blindfold.
"Luc?! Wha-"
"Shush, I need to get you somewhere else"
And before he could protest, Moniwa was already dragged around, blindly walking whle being pulled by his unhinged cousin.
After a while of walking around, Luc finally stopped.
"Alright, go ahead and open the blindfolld"
"I can't believe you just kidnapped me"
"Shut up and take off the blindfold"
And so he did.
And the scene surprised him.
He was in what looks like a park, lovely fariy lights hanging from the tree and a buffet table in front of him. But what catches his eye is what's in front of the table.
Or more precisely, who's in front of him.
It was his teammates, all holding a present box, smiling happily in front of him.
"Happy birthday Moniwa-san!!" They all shouted, making Moniwa's eyes water.
"I-I thought you guys forgot..."
"Of course we didn't forgot love" Kamasaki cooed, kissing Moniwa's forehead lovingly.
"You really think we'd forgot? I mean I know I'm bratty but I'm not THAT mean" Futakuchi joked, handing Moniwa a wrapped present.
Moniwa cried happily, burying his face in Kamasaki's chest, hugging the man tightly. The others just looked at them fondly.
That night, they partied till' night. They ate, play games, joke around, and all that fun stuff.
Futakuchi throwed a cupcake at Kamasaki's face, who tried throwing a bowl of mac n cheese back, but ended up hitting Sasaya. So of course, they ended up throwing food at each other while the rest just watched. Moniwa just sighs.
Even after they cleaned up (Moniwa and Mai yelled at them), Kamasaki and Futakuchi was still bickering.
It was chaotic, sure, but it was one of the greatest day in Moniwa's life.
