In one universe, a crimson-haired and turquoise-eyed boy grew up without feeling any love from his parents. It was because in their minds love was nothing more but a weakness. Therein, that boy was trained and treated as nothing more but a tool who would advance their interests.
Todoroki Shinmon (hero name: Flare and the patriarch of the clan) and Kyouya Mina (a gallery curator who also had a fire quirk) treated all of their children as pawns. From their eldest to their youngest, the husband and wife decided on what fates would these children have. And among them, their youngest had the worst life because he was the only one out of their four children who had a strong enough quirk that fitted their criteria.
They repeatedly told him that by being the number one hero in Japan can he only find his worth as a human being. Todoroki Enji grew up used and abused; carrying the burden to be their ideal of the best at the cost of his own happiness and identity. He was molded to become the perfect Todoroki heir that was to bring their clan to new heights through glory he would attain as a Pro-Hero that had rank one in the nation.
And from there, things had happened as how we knew it in Canon. Todoroki Enji grew up to become a Pro-Hero. And as Endeavor, he then would in the following years of his adulthood remain rank number two. This, in turn, would lead him to search for ways on how to beat his rival, All Might. He would even plan on relying on a quirk marriage to get the perfect ‘Masterpiece’ that would give him a child with a ‘Half-Hot and Half-Cold’ quirk. The results of which led him to both the creation of his youngest son, Shouto, and the villain named, Dabi. The Todoroki Enji of this universe had followed the path that we have seen and Boku No Hero Academia had progressed as what the majority knows.
That said, that development isn’t what this story is about. Instead, this story is about the star who changed Todoroki Enji’s fate and the fates of the other characters/ people who would come to be part of Flame Hero: Endeavor’s life.
This story would be about the scenes of the universe of Boku No Hero Academia wherein things have changed because of certain alterations. This story would show the alterations in variables and the interference of one unexpected being who was akin to a star—that was oh so bright, powerful, and yet very lonely—which only wished to protect what it considered to be its own; and among them, in this current realm, Todoroki Enji was part of it.
