Chapter Text
Slipping out of the queen’s arms to gaze down at her, she wondered if now would be the best time. She had been trying to find a way to bring up this topic for weeks but it had never been the right time. Now, with Belle laying there in a sleepy post-orgamsic haze of bliss, might be the only time she could get away with what she was about to do.
“Was that as good for you as it was for me?” she whispered, voice soft and sultry as her lips brushed her queen’s ear. Belle shuddered giddily and rolled over to press their bodies closer together.
“Magical,” she teased in a slurred voice. They hadn’t even had any wine and yet the queen was half drunk. It was intoxicating, just how happy and loose she could make the woman with a little effort and a lot of kissing.
“I’m so glad,” she murmured, pulling Belle closer still until their legs were tangled and her hands were carding through her queen’s hair. Belle almost purred at the gesture.
“I want to stay like this forever,” Belle murmured after a few minutes. She felt her heart drop at the words.
“Your husband will be home in a few hours,” she said softly, hoping the tone of her voice would keep this sleepy spell intact.
“I know,” Belle pouted, eyes shut as she burrowed into the woman’s neck.
“We need a place, dear one. A place we can be truly alone,” she pressed. Belle nodded.
“Adam’s old palace in the woods. We could go there,” the queen suggested. The woman willed her heart to calm down. So close.
“But only you and the king know where that is…”
“I’ll give you the map and the key. He hates it there. I doubt he’ll ever return after being imprisoned there for so long,” the queen confided. She pulled out of the woman’s hold and rose from the bed, the sheets falling away to reveal her naked body as she walked across the room to her dresser. From the hidden drawer where they kept their toys, the queen pulled out a small pouch they had never used. She squealed as she ran back to bed and kissed her lover soundly.
“We will have our own little secret,” she whispered. The woman smiled up at her with so much liking and happiness that Belle looked almost stunned.
“A secret in a secret,” she promised, and pulled her queen down into another kiss.
“I hate keeping you a secret,” Belle pouted when their lips separated again. The woman shrugged.
“You know I don’t like crowds of people looking at me. Let your king entertain the people while I entertain only you,” the woman teased coyly. Belle blushed and snuggled closer.
“I still can’t believe I love you both,” she whispered.
“Love is funny like that. And you have more than enough for two people. That much is obvious,” her lover insisted, smiling into her neck. Belle huffed but smiled at the compliment.
“I guess so. Still, it would be easier if everyone knew so we wouldn’t have to sneak around like teenagers,” Belle mused. The woman shrugged once again.
“But then they would all want a piece of the action. Public greetings and balls and all those things that take precious time away from the bedroom,” the woman explained teasingly. Belle yelped as her lover tickled her ribs. “Right now, you and Adam are old news. It's all about your boy and his escapades. He is in the spotlight so you can slip away from the ball early for a rendezvous with me…”
“I guess being old news does have its advantages,” the queen agreed, snuggling close. Sighing, she closed her eyes and fell asleep almost immediately. Her lover looked down at her with a dreamy smile for a few minutes before she eased off of the bed. Creeping over to her clothes, she pulled her phone out of the pants she had discarded so enthusiastically. Quickly, she shook out the contents of the little bag onto the floor. There was a piece of yellowing paper… and a key.
Making sure the flash was off, she snapped a picture of both sides of the paper (just in case) as well as the key. She had a fun little app that she could build a 3D image of the item simply by turning it in her fingers. She had practiced the motion until she was sure she would get a perfect replica, in anticipation of this moment.
Putting everything back as it was, she sighed with relief. She put the bag back in the secret drawer, in the back corner where she had seen it in the past. If she was right, Belle would think their conversation the night before had been a dream. Seeing the bag in its home with nothing disturbed about it would keep her secret safe.
Slipping back into bed, she kissed Belle’s head softly.
“Thank you, my beauty,” Robin H. Hood the Second whispered before drifting off to sleep as well.

“Ah so you finally came back from the love nest!” JJ crowed to Robin as she walked back into camp the next morning.
“As if I could stay away from you woodrats for very long,” she teased.
“So did you get it?” another man asked eagerly. The razor sharp smile she flashed sent them all into a frenzy, whooping and clapping eachother on the shoulder in victory.
“You are all ridiculous,” she laughed as she ducked into her tent. As she toed off her boots, she heard the flap rustle and then fall back into place.
“So when do we move in?” JJ asked. She flopped onto the rickety stool in front of the camp table in the middle of the tent.
“As soon as we get the key,” she told him. He huffed and sat in the chair across from her.
“How do we do that?” he asked, not taking the bait. Her smile was softer than the one she had worn outside.
“Well, I guess that depends on where the best 3D printer in the kingdom is,” was her reply. He groaned.
“I hate that damn place.”
“Not my favorite either. But we need to get a copy of this key made,” she told him, holding up her phone to show him the image she had recorded. He whistled and leaned in for a better look.
“If I didn’t think it was magicked to holy hell, I’d say we could pick that lock no problem. The key is too easy,” he told her. She shrugged.
“And that’s why I need a damn good copy. If I’m going to play this trick, it's gonna have to be solid,” she told him. He nodded.
“So who is going in with you?” he asked. She shook her head.
“No one.”
“Now just a-”
“I’m going in there to talk to Fairy Godmother about something. She is going to give me the tour because she thinks I’m a sweet lil thing. Oh I totally am, don’t give me that look! Anyways, I’m going to use that 3D printer in the science lab to copy a locket from my mother,” she told him, pulling out a locket they had swiped in a heist years ago. She had held onto it for years as a ploy for anyone who tried to rob her on a lonely road.
“But since the printing takes forever…”
“She will head off to do whatever it is that she does all day and I will be left to print in peace.”
“Then you swap the key for the locket and thank Fairy Godmother on the way out,” he finishes. She nods.
“Exactly. So I don’t really need backup. Honestly, I will look more suspicious that way,” she told him nonchalantly. He didn’t look happy about it but nodded.
“You aren’t wrong. But I still don’t like it,” he grumbled.
“As much as I know you could do it, you’ll get the chance to take out some of that aggression on the castle when we finally move in. I’m sure the place is a disaster.” she mused aloud. He brightened perceptibly.
“I can’t wait to break out the carpenter’s tools in a real workshop again,” JJ sighed dreamily. “What are you looking forward to?”
“Walls thick enough to drown out your snoring,” she laughed. He tossed a pillow at her, which she caught easily. “Get out of here. We leave at dawn.”
“I’ll warn the men.”
“Maybe we should just surprise them. They’ll drink themselves to death if they know.”
“They just might have the right idea,” JJ chuckled as he ducked back out of the tent and shouted for the boys to hit the sack. She could hear the grumbles from them but she didn’t mind. She wasn’t thrilled about the early morning ride either. But now that she had a plan in place, she wanted to get going.
After all, it's not everyday you have the opportunity to steal a King’s castle right from under his nose.
