Can you feel it? Me neither. [DISCONTINUED]

Summary:

"You got to understand that Discs aren't people Tommy." Techno said, trying to reason with the teen as they stood opposite to each other. Cold wind loudly ruffled leaves of the nearby trees distractingly loud, while at the same time nudging the clouds so that they blocked the sun. The Day was changing in a matter of seconds from sunny and warm, to gray and cold. In this short moment everyone they ever knew looked right at them, holding their breaths. None of them dared to do as much as blink while everyone waited in tensed silence at the teens' reply. After what felt like an eternity but was not even a moment... they got his answer.

"Well, neither are you." Tommy whisper-shouted as big tears slowly started running down his young but slightly beaten face, leaving behind two long wet tracks. His eyes in no time turned a slight pinkish color as he couldn't keep tears inside of him. Everyone stared at them in pure horror, unable to move at Tommys answer. While some of them tried to do as much as decide whether to try to save Tommy or run for their lives, none of them moved. The silence was merciless, thick with anticipation and fear of what might come both for the Teen and them as the witnesses.

He was never like other kids

Techno stared at the crying kid sitting on the cold ground right in front of him. The kid's brown hair stuck to his forehead from the sweat caused by all the previous playing in the sun. All of his clothes had green stains on them from rolling on the wet grass, while his trainers were covered in mud. Thinking about it, Technos clothes weren't any better. His previously white t-shirt looked now as if it had been green from the beginning and his blue shorts certainly seen better days. It didn't matter in the long run. Warm wind slowly walked between them, carrying with him the rustle of trees and the soft singing of birds hiding in their branches. Everything seemed so peaceful.. well, almost everything. Loud wailing interrupted the pleasant silence of the moment, leaving behind only uncontrollable chaos. The atmosphere seemed to thicken with every second as the loud noises coming from the playground area seemed to draw the attention of every parent in the park. He couldn't care less.

His train of thought was interrupted by the sound of gentle shushing right in front of him. Techno blinked a few times to find blond-haired women kneeing in front of the crying kid, hugging him. Huh, it seemed like he was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice the kid's parent running to and hugging their kid. Interesting, he didn't even have time to take a good look at the scene in front of him, before he felt a big hand grabbing his shoulder and dragging him away from the woman and her kid.

"I'm so sorry for him. I have no idea what came over this kid. I hope he didn't do any harm..-" He heard male voice desperately trying to explain his behavior to the woman who was now glaring at both of them. He slowly looked up, trying to see who grabbed him, only to see the rather familiar face of his father. Blond hair tied in a small ponytail at the back of his head while his face was slightly distorted in some kind of unknown emotion to Techno. Phils light blue eyes were focused on the woman not leaving her even for a second as if he was mentally getting ready to be scolded. Not that it hadn't happened before. Thinking about it, His father should be at least used to it by now. His kids could be a handful at times.

"Stop. I don't need your explanations." The woman cut him off, slowly standing up with her kid in her arms. Her eyes flickered from Phil to Techno before she took a deep breath and slowly started walking away. "Just make sure to keep your kid at bay next time." She said as she walked past them with this weird tone of voice. The one Techno could never recognize even if he tried really, really hard.

He didn't have time to think about this much longer because as fast as the women disappeared behind many trees of the park he heard a loud sigh and felt someone kneeling beside him. His eyes instantly looked at the person, taking in the expression of his father. He looked... old. Tired you could say. His eyes were locked at his own as if looking for something that wasn't there. For some kind of remorse, guilt or anything that would tell him that his son wasn't a bad kid and actually regretted making that kid cry. He found nothing.

His fathers face almost instantly dropped as he frowned. He straightened himself up trying to look more intimidating while still glaring right at Techno. He did that a lot recently, and everytime Techno asked about what it meant his father either didn't respond at all, ignoring his son or said that he was angry. He remembers learning about it During kindergarten. Anger was a bad emotion that always made people act like they were not themselves. He remembers the concept of it being forgein to him.. until his father started acting this strange way towards him, just like he acted now. He didn't mind it though. He knew it was only temporary and would go away just as fast as it came.

"Techno. How many times I have to tell you that you can't just go around the place and hurt others." The anger said, taking control over his father. That was not a problem at all. He would just silently wait until his dad came back, from.. whenever anger took him. Knowing Phil it wouldn't take long for him to come back, after all he was the strongest person he ever knew. He could do it.

"Techno! Look me in the eyes when i'm talking to you." Phil said loudly, grabbing Technos arms a little too strong and trying to see any kind of reaction from his son. Techno only a little winced from the slight pain in his arms but his expression stayed as emotionless as ever. Blue-eyed man stood still for 10 more seconds before his expression dropped and his eyes softened a little. They stood in the silence looking each other in the eyes, Technos brain silencing any background sound that could distract the kid from the face of his dad. And then, all sound suddenly came back with redoubled strength as Phils mouth opened to say one more sentence.

Phil's voice barely made it past the rush of sounds, "What would you feel if someone did that to you?" All sounds out of nowhere became physically overwhelming leaving behind only defaning white noise. Techno suddenly became hyper aware of anything that touched him, that was happening all around him. Starting with birds hiding in the trees and ending on the unhearable conversations other people had while walking near the park. In this short moment his mind focused on one easy question. On one answer that after all this time, he should know all too well.. and he did.

"nothing" he answered, looking Phil straight in the eyes and seeing as his expression dropped to something unreadable. Something that Techno, despite all these years of practice, still couldn't read.

"I would feel nothing."
