Chapter Text
He is a monster!
Disgusting!
He needs to die!
Lan Wangji woke up to what appeared to be a nightmare but tragically was not. Can he still remember what it was like to be loved? If only his mother would not have died, and his dad not abandoned him, just then maybe he would not have been cursed.
It was another lonely day in Lan Wangji's life. He transformed into his monstrous appearance, set flight, and hunt prey to devour. For some reason, Lan Wangji had a fondness for bunnies, he refused to eat the white, fluffy creatures, instead, he kept them near, they were his only company after all. They never judged him.
Lan Zhan was the Dragon responsible for guarding the mountain, at the top of it he constructed his own home at a very young age. Cast out, hated. Lan Wangji quickly grew up to become paranoic, news spread of the monstrous beast that live at the top of the mountain and many individuals attempted to hunt him down and sell for a fortune his scales, horns, and fangs, his luxurious meat and hair.
Lan Zhan would mercilessly murder all of these humans, they would regret and plead for their lives, "Oh gracious and imponent white dragon, please forgive our ignorance! Have mercy. We have children to return to! We promise to leave you and your mountain alone."
At first, the pleads worked on Lan Wangji but quickly lost their effect, the hypocrisy in humanity was enormous and they would come back each time with better weapons and more people to kill the Mystical creature.
None of them were a match for him, Dragons rarely had any weakness, their scales, horns, and fangs were stronger than armor and swords, a material that resembled steel.
Foolish humans.
Dragons were very territorial and therefore a force not to be reckoned with. You must know to never enter a dragon's home or touch their belongings.
Lan Zhan heard the sound of a pack of wolves, howling madly as if signaling and announcing a meeting, they probably found prey. Lan Wangji was to leave the wolves alone, but something caught his attention, surrounded by the hungry wolves was a fragile human, laying down helplessly on the floor.
Why would I need to save a human? They are nothing but hostile, judgement always beings. After all humanity had deemed him an outcast and forced him to leave out in the wild by himself, why would he feel pity for one of them? He could die and he would not care any less! Another less corrupted human in the world.
The human noticed him, almost inaudibly, with the little strength he had, begged the dragon to rescue him.. "H-help." The weak voice pleaded. The human’s eyes desperately screaming aid.
Were his ears failing him? A human asking HIM a hideous creature, a DRAGON to save him?
The human must have gone mad! Just when Lan Wangji was about to leave, guilt and remorse spread like fire inside him.
Maybe traces of his humanity remained in his now cold and lonely heart.
By the mere presence and sight of the giant being, the wolves whimpered and left the bruised human.
He was injured and near unconsciousness. The human had heard stories of a dangerous dragon guarding the forest, he gave his savior a huge bright smile. With the small amount of force he had left he said, "Th-thank you."
Thank you? Lan Wangji had not heard those words in a very long time.
Lan Wangji felt curious, he wanted to ask the human for his name, what was he was doing in his forest, he must have had suicidal thoughts. Yet he had not spoken to a human in more than a decade, he wondered if he could still speak?
The human finally fainted due to his injuries, Lan Zhan closely approached him and with utmost care making sure to not scratch the human with his horns, he placed his snout underneath his arm in order to pick him up and positioned him on his back, he then used his teeth and gently grabbed the human by his shirt's neck.
The human slept peacefully on his back, even if his face was covered in dirt, Lan Zhan could tell he was attractive by human standards.
Lan Zhan decided not to kill the human... for now. Since the human seemed harmless and did not scream the moment he saw his beastly appearance. He was bored most of the time, this human would entertain him for a while...
'Let's see how long you can handle the sight of me until you decide to run, just like everyone else did.'
"..."
Little did the dragon know that Wei Ying had lost his eyesight. He was blind.
Lan Wangji setting flight:
