---

This is part 2 of the "Home Run" series, giving us some information how these lovely pairings are doing after saying goodbye to Jaehyun. (It's just a small B-Side thing, because there is more coming! Read the notes at the beginning of the 1st chapter for more information!)

I would recommend y'all to read the main fic of this series first to understand the relationships between the different pairings, their development and the connection/friendship of the characters.

Notes:

Guess who's back! Yeah, it's me! And greetings to everyone who is reading this story!

It's, as in the summary already mentioned, a story that gives us insights into the lives of JaeYong, JohnTen, MarkHyuck, and Taeil with his mysterious omega. That is the only purpose this story has! This story is only a B-Side one and that is why it contains only five chapters instead of 'xx' more!
There is going to be an official sequel for Home Run which I'm going to publish in July this year because you guys wished for it and I'm hyped for it as well!

For those who are new to the Home Run series, I would totally recommend you to read the first part of this series, called 'Home Run' as well, to understand the relationships between the pairings, the development and just to get some main informations about them.

Alright, I say, let's start, shall we?
Today's chapter pair: MarkHyuck

Main information for everyone:
- Pair's included: JaeYong, JohnTen, Markhyuck, and Taeil/Unknown
- not gonna spoil the chronological order
- update every Wednesday

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Christmas Gift - [ MarkHyuck ]

Chapter Text

Haechan fell out of bed when he tried to reach his phone to shut off this dumb alarm. Sitting up he rubbed his back whining, eyes closed. Why did his morning have to start like this? Why did he even set an alarm? It was so unnecessary. Sighing grunting he tilted his head aside, eyes still closed. Snatching the phone off the nightstand he stopped the alarm, phone being thrown onto the sheets.

“Everything alright? I heard a dull sound.”

“Huh?”, confused Haechan turned his head around, seeing Taeyong’s head peek through the door. Nodding quickly he ruffled his messy hair, getting back onto the edge of the bed. “Oh, yeah, I’m good. I fell out of the bed, trying to shut off my alarm. Why are you up already? It’s 10:15 am and we have winter break…”

“Jogging,” Taeyong opened the door further, giving his friend the ability to see him wearing his sports clothes. “Need to keep my stamina on the level or increase it, wouldn’t hurt. Especially not if I’m going to be a part of the Kia Tigers one day. I need to be able to keep up with them.”

“Aha, stamina you say,” grinning Haechan stood up, laughed when Taeyong was crossing his arms with rolling eyes. “Stamina for baseball or some bed activities?”

“Stamina for baseball you idiot. It’s not like that I’m active or desperate, or having the urge to keep it up for sexual activities. Especially not now under these circumstances.”

“Of course not, only when you visit Jaehyun for the first time. Then you want to have enough stamina for the time when he is ramming his huge dick into your ho-”

“Shut up you idiot,” Taeyong said chuckling, leaning against the doorframe. “Is there ever going to be a day where you are not curious about my sex life? Oh, wait. I know that answer already which is a no. You are always going to be curious about it even tho you have an own boyfriend who fucks you until you pass out. Anyway, I go and take a shower.”

Haechan stretched his arms with an agreeing hum, sliding into one of the comfortable hoodies he had. Humming slightly, he stared focused at the coffee machine, hoping it would work faster that way. With the table set, Haechan got comfortable at the table, sipping his hot coffee, and checked his messages. Taeyong joined him, pouring some milk and cereals into his bowl, pointing at the coffee next to him.

“Is that for me?”

“Jup,” Haechan put the phone aside, plopping the spoon into the bowl. “When you woke me up yesterday you got me a coffee, now I’m making one for you in return!”

“That’s nice of you, thanks. How was it at your parent's place? Are your mom and dad doing good?" Taeyong asked curious, scratching his ear.

Christmas evening had been last week and Haechan had returned two days ago from his parent's place. Even tho Haechan and his parents had asked him to come as well, knowing that he had no place to go, he had declined the offer multiple times, saying he would celebrate it with Ten instead to give him some company. Haechan had to laugh at that question.

"It was so funny, you should have been there! My dad drank too much and had barely tacked the Christmas tree onto the ground. Mom and had trouble with keeping him away but we managed fine. They are fine. Oh, I also got something for you from them, a Christmas gift but you get it later."

"Did you give them my present as well?" Taeyong asked quickly, hoping that his present had been good enough for Haechan's parents.

"Yeah, and they were happy about it even if they said you didn't have to."

"I would be a bad person to not give them something in return for all the years they took care of me. They deserve it and I can never give them back enough for all the things they have done for me, I hope you told them that." Taeyong smiled happily with the knowledge that Haechan's parents had liked the gift. It hadn't been much. Just some expensive wine and sweets, and a new mixing machine for his mother, knowing that the old one had died a while ago. "Had Mark visited you guys?"

"Oh, no. He and his parents celebrated with family and he was pretty locked in there. We called that evening and I still need to give him his gift."

"So, you stay at Mark’s tonight?”

Haechan nodded with a low hum.

“I do, I head over later, something around 5 pm. How was celebrating Christmas with Ten? What did you two do?”

Taeyong ate a spoon of the cereals, stirring the mix in his bowl a bit further before he started to speak.

“Uh-huh, we did. We baked cookies, watched multiple cliche romantic movies to waste some time, chilled, built a nest in which we cuddled and fell asleep, talking about university things, and other stuff like calling our two dorks of boyfriends. It was a shame that Johnny wasn't able to come over but it is how it is." Taeyong shrugged with his shoulders, looking up from his bowl at the other omega. "Any other news I should know of?”

“There are!" Haechan said yawning but excited at the same time. "When he called me at Christmas, he told me that he is moving out next month. He was planning for a few weeks of moving out and found an apartment already, and now he can afford it. His parents support him with the finances so he can focus on studying and soccer.”

“That’s cute,” Smiling Taeyong leaned back, crossing his legs. “An own place is always nice. I know how much you had jumped around and babbled in excitement when we moved in together. Saying how nice it was to have your own four walls, your freedom, and nobody telling you to clean up. Well, I'm an exception."

The older leaned back, focusing on the hot coffee in his cup. Rolling his head to the sides to lose some tension, he tilted his gaze back to Haechan. There had popped up a question in his brain he needed to answer.

"Well, now that he is going to move out, do you think he is going to ask you to move in with him? Not right away, I mean maybe in a half year or further. But let’s say, he asks you, which would be nice for you because you would be able to be with your boyfriend way more often and wake up beside him and other advantages, which is one of the best things in this world, but, would you do it?”

“Umm,” Haechan put the cup aside, arms crossed, head tilted to the side thinking.

Would he want to move in with Mark? Dumb question, of course, he would. Who wouldn’t want to move in with his boyfriend? But it would mean, to leave Taeyong behind. Once they would be done with university, they would never get back into living together as they did now, except they would want to. They could, but Haechan would like to live with Mark together once. After university probably, but not now. Not when he could live with his best friend a little while longer.

“It would be nice, but I think we should wait a bit longer. Just to be sure because it is still fresh, the thing with me and Mark, and I want to live with you as long as possible. Only the future knows what is going to happen when we are done with university. You have this big offer of the Kia Tigers, maybe you move there to save a long time of traveling. It could be. Let’s live together until we are done with university, deal?”

“You don’t need to stick with me you know? I can manage fine on my own.” Taeyong said smiling, rubbed his back soothingly. “But I appreciate it, thanks.”

“Hello? We don’t know how long we can be able to live together. We won’t live together until the day we die. Only the future knows with who we are going to live or where we live. And because of that, you need to deal with me a bit longer!”

“I’m not saying that I mind.”

Laughing Haechan hugged Taeyong rushed, rubbed their cheeks together. Taeyong sneaked his arms around his waist, cuddled with him a while before they separated to continue to eat. Getting up, Taeyong made both of them another coffee, leaning against the counter while the machine was doing their thing, looking outside. It was the end of December already, the snow was covering the world with thick layers of snow, the cold wind biting harshly at the bones. A shiver runs down his spine only by the thought of the outside. Haechan followed his gaze, noticing the dark clouds high up in the sky. Taeyong hated the weather. It was one of the reasons why he was trapped here and not be able to go overseas. As if he could read his mind, Haechan stood up, hugging Taeyong softly, head tucked under his chin.

“You’re not heading out today, right Tae?”

"I didn't plan to, why?" Calmly Taeyong wrapped his arms around Haechan's waist, keeping him close.

"Because we get a blizzard and I want to know you safe. Call me a babysitter, but I just want to know that you are safe. Just as you do when I'm with Mark."

“No, I’m home. Studying, maybe watching a movie, or call Jaehyun if he still up. Because of the bad weather and this dumb paper, I couldn’t go over to Los Angeles to visit him, and to do a video call is the only option we have left at the moment. But I’m okay with that.”

Haechan raised an eyebrow in surprise until he remembered the problem. The professor had given Taeyong and his fellow students an asshole paper to finish, which made it impossible for him to visit Jaehyun overseas. The bad weather on top was another problem. Huffing he rested his chin in his palm, looking intense at his best friend.

“There is no chance you can visit him? Or the other way around? There isn’t a possibility of him coming over?”

“I wish I could but I need to get that paper done, even if I’m way too busy to share enough time with him. If my flight got canceled because of the weather, his flight is going to be canceled too. It’s fine, really. No worries. By the way, with who are you sharing New Year's Eve?”

“Don’t know, with Mark maybe? I wanted to ask him later. Why?”

“Because," He said chuckling, looked into Haechan's wide, curiosity-filled eyes. "Ten and I planned anyway to share it at his place, why don't you two join us instead? We would have our privacy, you both could sleep in the guestroom? Ask Mark and let us know, some company would do Ten and me good. And like that, we could get to know him better."

"That sounds cool. I'm asking him later."

"Cool. Unfortunately, I need to continue my researches. If something should come up, stop by anytime, okay?” Taeyong drank the leftover milk in his bowl, put it into the sink. Haechan nodded, smiled when the other kissed his forehead slightly before he disappeared into his room. Haechan looked after him pouting, resting his body against the counter, arms crossed.

It was not nice to see how his best friends were sulking. Neither Ten nor Taeyong were able to share the day of love or New Year's Eve with the people they love the most, their boyfriends. Johnny was stuck in Stanford, while Taeyong's flight had been canceled. Haechan felt just bad, being the only one able to share time with his boyfriend and on top of that, he couldn't help them that much. Ten was a master in hiding his emotions and feelings. It was hard to look behind his mask to find out how he truly was feeling with Johnny being gone for five months already. Or how to soothe the stinging pain inside his heart. Taeyong on the other hand tried to hide them as well to not make him worried, but Haechan knew him better. He could read Taeyong sometimes like a book and comforted him with cuddles when he needed them. The sadness reflecting deep inside his eyes of missing Jaehyun made his heart shatter into tiny pieces, wanting to be there for Taeyong no matter what.

Haechan was now the only one with a boyfriend around and did not want to imagine how he would act if Mark would need to leave for a long time. Probably sulk harder than Ten or Taeyong, whine, and complain about that damn pain in his heart and the seek after his boyfriend 24/7. Scratching his temple he got up slowly, cleaning the kitchen before he walked into his room to busy himself a bit without disturbing Taeyong next door.

To kill some time, he decided to unpack his bag, wash some of the dirty laundries. Even tho it was Taeyong's duty this week to do the laundry, he did it instead to support him a bit. The fewer house chores he needed to do, the more he could work on his papers. With that done, he changed the sheets of his bed, watering the plants in the whole apartment while listening to some music. Dancing a bit to the music in his room, he swung his hips joyfully, looking forward to meeting his boyfriend. Haechan got onto his knees, rumored through his bag for the gift he got from his parents.

He was so curious about Taeong's reaction when he would find out what his parents got for him. It wasn't something useful concerning the university, but his friend wouldn't mind. He helped his parent's out with the present for Taeyong, knowing that he was always looking for a Nintendo switch to play some games on. During breaks of studying, long traveling by car or bus, or even for a flight when he would visit Jaehyun for the first time. Even tho Haechan hadn't asked them for it, they got for each, him and Taeyong, a Nintendo switch to play with. Without a game, because it would be way too expensive, but he took care of it. Haechan got this Zelda game and Animal Crossing for Taeyong to play, thinking he might like them.

Grinning wide he hid them somewhere deep in his wardrobe, looking at the time. Was it already that late? He only did a few house chores, cleaned his and the living room, and- oh, well. Okay. That was time-consuming. With a growling stomach, he walked into the kitchen, checked the fridge, pulled the sleeves up, and started to create something delicious to eat.

With some freshly cooked lunch, he balanced a plate for Taeyong in his right hand, having a coffee in his left and a bottle of water tucked under the armpit. Knocking three times against the door, he opened it with some trouble with his arm, seeing Taeyong still sitting at his desk. The laptop in front of him, a pile of books to his left, papers to his right. He was sitting cross-legged on his chair, earphones on, talking to someone in a better mood with a bright smile on his face. Haechan knew this smile better than anyone else. It seemed that he was having a video call with Jaehyun, analyzing his happy smile and joy in his voice. Taeyong noticed him out of the corner of his eyes, slid one of the earphones back, curiosity reflecting in his eyes when he looked at him. Haechan felt caught like a little deer, came closer.

“Do I disturb anything?”, Haechan asked whispering, unsure if the person Taeyong was talking to could hear him.

“You could never disturb anything, it’s alright. How can I help you out?”

“I cooked some lunch, knowing that you tend to neglect yourself in the past few days due to the paper you need to get done. Oh, also some coffee to keep you awake and some water so your body stays hydrated. You got enough snacks in your desk anyway and I don’t have a third arm for that,” Haechan smiled bright and as the supportive friend he is, he cooked Taeyong’s favorite and placed it onto a spot the other cleaned quickly. As the curious cat, he was, he glanced onto the laptop, seeing Jaehyun on the screen. Happily, he waved at him, looked at Taeyong who was drinking the coffee.

"You didn't tell me that you were talking with Jaehyun!"

"You didn't even give me a chance to say anything," Taeyong said with an amused voice, rolled with his eyes when he heard a comment of Jaehyun on his right ear. "But thank you for the food. I'm eating it while it is still warm, I promise."

"No pressure, just eat it. You are way too focused on the paper so eat every single piece. It's your favorite and made with a lot of love. I text Jaehyun later if you don't eat everything!"

"Oh, I eat. Don't worry. You are heading out now?"

"In a few. I did some of the house chores for you. Do we unpack the presents when I'm back again?"

"Totally! Otherwise, I give it back."

Taeyong chuckled when he was hugged from behind, waving him when he left the room, focused back on the video call. Haechan gathered his things, left a note for the other on the fridge, before he put on his coat, beanie and left their apartment to get to Mark.

The snow started to fall when he reached Mark’s home, rang the bell while he put off his beanie.

“Hello there stranger,” Mark said smiling, took his coat, and put it away. “You want something to warm yourself up? Coffee? Cacao? A tea perhaps?”

“I’d love to have a cacao if you ask so nicely and some cuddles after,” smiling Haechan cupped his cheeks to pull him down for a kiss. Mark smirked, pulled him close with his arms lopped around the omegas waist, dived in deeper into the kiss. Haechan followed him into the kitchen, taking a seat at the table while his boyfriend was making him his cacao. Smiling brightly when he got the cup, he rewarded Mark with a kiss on his cheek.

“Where are your parents?” Haechan asked while drinking, observing the room. “Working?”

“Yeah, but they will be home in a few hours. You miss them that much?”

Mark joined him at the table with his cacao, looking at him grinning. Haechan shrugged smiling.

“They are nice. I like them,”

“And they like you. The most cutest and adorable omega I ever brought home with me,”

“Many before me? Or were they just friends or exes? And if the second, how many?”

“Someone's eager to know,” Mark put the cup down, rubbed his cheek thinking. “Well, we never talked about it. Um, one was a friend back in middle school. We were working on a project. I had a boyfriend back in high school, it lasted for a year until we broke up. We just didn’t love each other anymore as we did before, it ended well. Since then, no boyfriends. What about you?”

“One in high school but it last only for maybe four months? I don’t know the exact number but he had turned into an asshole and I broke up because of that. Since then single until this between us happened. This between us is different and I just love you,” Haechan smiled blushing, looked at Mark who smiled adoring. Mark walked around the table, kissed the top of his head before hugging him from behind.

“And I love you,” he whispered into his ear, bit softly into it before he slid onto the chair next to his. “What do you want to do after? When we’re done drinking this amazing cacao I made with a bunch of love?”

“Can we go out for a walk? Just a small one because of the blizzard and we don’t want to catch a cold or something.”

“If you want? We could go right after we emptied our cups.”

Haechan nodded excitedly. With their cups empty they slid into their shoes, put on their coats and beanies. Mark helped his boyfriend to adjust the beanie on top of his head, intertwined their hands, and pulled him into the cold outside.

During their walk Haechan watched the snowflakes fall in amazement and sparkling eyes. At a meadow nearby the omega stopped in his tracks, looking at the layers of snow that were covering it. Mark tilted his head up into the sky, moved his nose when a snowflake fell right onto it. Chuckling he looked back to Haechan, the words he wanted to say stuck in his mouth. The view was beyond beautiful.

Haechan was looking up into the sky with his big eyes that were sparkling, the snow landing onto his hair and face, mouth slightly opened. The omega looked so cute and pretty at the same time. Without a word he took out his phone, made a few pictures before he took his hand, kissed the back of it.

“I like snow, it covers the world like a big blanket. It’s so pretty,”

“You are pretty too and cute,” Mark laughed when Haechan rolled with his eyes blushing. “Every single day.”

“Stop it already.”

Haechan wrapped his arms around the alpha's waist, head tucked under his chin. Mark embraced him softly, keeping him close. Haechan tilted his head up, looking right into the alpha's eyes with a soft smile on his lips. Mark held his chin up high, kissing him softly.

“You want to help me to decorate my new apartment? I guess you have a better hand and sense for that than I do.”

“But your room in your parent's home is really nice. It’s so you,” Haechan stroke some of Mark's black hair out of his eyes. “Why do you need my help?”

“Dunno, maybe to have something there that reminds me of you when you’re not with me? A spot that reminds me of you. It doesn’t need to be anything big, small is enough. Maybe a shelf or something. Just if you want of course.”

“It’s sweet of you and sure, I can do that. Just tell me when and I’ll be there.”

“Thanks. I move into the new apartment in the second week of January. Feel free to stop by whenever you want,” he said smiling, held him close. “Sleepovers, privacy, and lazy movie nights. Sounds good?”

“Lovely. I just remember that one time in your room when we wanted to, you know, get intimate, and your mother killed the mood because she wanted to know what we would like to have for breakfast,” Haechan laughed loud when Mark let out an embarrassed sigh.

“I do remember, it was so embarrassing. It’s time that I live in my own four walls. Especially if I want to have some privacy with my boyfriend. And better if I go into a rut. I also wanted to ask if you, well, want to help me out? We already had sex and are together for more than five months, and I was unsure if this isn’t rushed but would you like to help me with my rut? I would also love to help you with your heat! You could share it with me in my apartment as well because I can not come into the omega faculty and Taeyong wouldn’t need to be worried about you when he’s in lectures.”

Haechan looked with big eyes at Mark, swallowing. Indeed, they had sex already and it was more than Haechan could have ever asked for because Mark was perfect in his eyes. It meant a lot for anyone to be asked to help their partner during their cycle and in return. Blushing he hugged him tighter, nodded with the biggest smile he had.

“I’d love to help you with your rut if you think we are ready for this step. Well, I’m ready and if you are ready, why not? The same goes for me and my heat, of course, thank you,”

“No need to thank me for,” Mark held the omega close, kissed his nose before he suggested to keep moving to stay warm.

Haechan held his warm hand smiling, shivered when the wind was getting colder and the snow thicker. Mark wrapped his scarf around Haechan’s neck, pulling him close.

“We should go back home, it’s getting colder and we don’t want to be in the blizzard,”

“Do we have to?” Haechan asked whining, crouched to take some of the snow into his hands, and formed it into a ball. Mark buried his hands in his coat, head tilted back to have a better look at the clouded sky. A gasp was heard when something was hitting his chest, making him spin around to see a giggling Haechan forming another snowball.

“Hey!”

Mark ducked down to avoid another snowball getting towards him, got onto his knees to do the same. Without mercy he threw the ball at Haechan who was still busy creating one, hitting him right at his shoulder, making some of the snow hit his face. Haechan disappeared behind a car for protection, laughed loud when he managed to hit the other again. With slow steps he walked around the car, planning to attack the alpha with the surprise on his side, but Mark was nowhere to be seen. Confused he lowered his hand with the snowball inside, scanning the area to make out where the alpha was.

“Got ya!”

Haechan turned around quickly, screamed surprised when he was tackled onto the ground. Mark had one hand protective around his neck to avoid any injuries, laughed evil when captured the omega under his body. Haechan was grateful that the snow was fluffy and caught them softly, but the attack had been mean. Slightly annoyed he hit Mark’s chest.

“You meanie!” He said whining. “Now I have snow at my neck!”

“You started all of this and I just used the chance. The snow will melt and back at my place you can change into my clothes, good?”

“Revenge!”

Haechan threw one leg over Mark’s waist, switching their positions, and pressed him by his shoulder into the ground. Mark only laughed, tilted his head aside when snow was massaged into his cheeks. Taking the omega by his hips he sat up, kissing his red nose.

“Enough revenge?” Mark wiped the snow off his cheeks, pulled the beanie deeper into his face. Haechan had his head tilted aside, a big pout on his face.

“Not quite, but I can manage. Make it up to me with a kiss.”

“Nothing else? Just a kiss? Nothing easier than that.”

With a sly smirk on his face, Mark took the omegas pilate chin between his thumb and index finger, tilting it up for a better ankle. The alpha connected their lips for a small kiss, bit smirking into his lower lip before pulling it away. The omega followed his movements, pushing the alpha back into the snow when the kiss was ending, rose to his feet. Mark rushed up, hugging him from behind, nuzzling their cheeks together. Haechan’s cheek was red like an apple, his eyes sparkling, but his shivering breath was making him worried.

“We should head back. I don’t want you to catch a cold, you’re shivering.”

“As much as I want to stay longer outside, I know you’re right. But I liked our small walk outside,” Haechan said happily, taking Mark’s warm hand into his and walked with him side by side back.

They entered the house when the weather got worse, patting the snow off their coats. Haechan slid out of his shoes, looked towards the kitchen when he heard sounds. Curious he headed over, greeted Mrs. Lee who was cooking dinner. Smiling he hugged her, looked into the pot on the stove.

“That smells delicious! Can I help somehow?”

“No, it’s ready in a few. You stay over the night?”

“Uh-huh, I hope that’s okay.”

“Of course,” she said softly, rubbing his arms. “You’re always welcome Haechan, we love to have you around. And so does Mark, right sweety?”

“Could you please not call me that mom?” Mark groaned when he entered the kitchen, stroke the snow out of Haechan’s soft hair. “Since when are you home?”

“Twenty minutes. You both were out for a walk I guess?”

“Yeah, it was nice. Haechan and I are up in my room until dinner is ready.”

“Fine with me.”

“Cool,”

Mark pulled Haechan by his hand upstairs, slumped onto the bed with the omega sitting on his lap. Haechan stared into his eyes, head tilted to the side when he remembered the topic he had talked about with Taeyong earlier.

“What are you doing on New Year’s Eve?”

“Nothing yet, why? Got something planned?”

“Kinda?” Haechan chuckled smiling, lowering himself down. Smirking he caged Mark's head between his elbows, stroke through his hair. “Taeyong and Ten are celebrating together. Johnny is gone and won’t come over anytime soon, so they celebrate at their place because it is bigger. Tae suggested we could tag along if we would want to. Ten has a guestroom where we could sleep in and celebrate with friends is always nice. So, what do you say?”

“That’s a cool idea!” Mark smiled lovely, drumming with his hands on the omegas butt. “I’m totally in. My parents celebrate with their friends anyway.”

“Awesome!” Haechan bit playfully into Mark's nose sat back and reached out for his phone. With quick movements he texted his best two friends, telling them that Mark was in for the New Year's Eve celebration. Phone placed aside he slid back down, resting his head on the alpha's chest, listening silently to his heartbeat.

They only moved when they were called for dinner and disappeared after back upstairs. Haechan changed into something comfortable, crawled under the fluffy blanket. Stretching his legs groaning he turned his head towards the door when Mark entered the room. Needy, he patted to his left, curled into his side when the alpha joined him.

“Should we watch a movie?”

Mark to the nod from the omega as a yes, letting a ghibli movie run in the background. Careful he pulled Haechan close, massaged his hip bone with his thumb, cheek resting on top of his head.

“How was Christmas with your parents?” He asked curiously, eyes focused on the screen. Haechan took a deep breath, one hand caressing the alpha's chest.

“It was wonderful. Mom and dad got me a new laptop because my old one is done for its life, oh, and something small for Taeyong. I still miss moms cooking tho, it is so delicious,” Haechan said dreaming, looking into the room. “But your mom cooks awesome as well. I think you are going to miss it as well.”

“Probably, but we can cook together. Your cooking is delicious too!”

“You need to thank my mom and Taeyong for my skills. They taught me a lot to be honest. If I would need to tell the name of someone whose meals, no matter what he cooks are delicious, it would be Tae. Give him different things to cook with, he would always be able to cook something nice.”

“I never tried anything he had cooked,” Mark mumbled frowning pouting slightly. “Maybe on New Year's eve?”

“I guess he is going to cook something nice,”

Haechan mumbled, gaze tilted to the window. It was dark outside already, but the light inside was bright enough to make the snow visible. Shivering he nuzzled deeper into the side of the alpha, face pressed into his neck. Eyes closed he inhaled the alphas scent, giggled when his butt was massaged.

“We can’t do it right now Mark,” chuckling he pressed his nose deeper into his neck, curled his toes when the hand-pulled at the soft flesh. “Stop it!”

“You don’t want me to stop, I know you,” Mark whispered with a rough voice. “Am I right?”

Haechan groaned mewling, giving him the angriest glare he was able to manage in this situation. Mark hovered over the omega, kissing him softly. Haechan rolled with his eyes but spread his legs wide, so Mark could get between them. The soft kiss had turned into a heated, passionate one, making Haechan lose his mind. He just broke the kiss when his lungs were screaming for oxygen, tilted his head blushing when Mark continued to kiss his neck. He sucked deep red hickeys into the pale skin, making his way down to his collar bones. Just when he wanted to pull down the waistband of the omega, a knock interrupted him from doing his plan. Their head snapped at the same time towards the door. Mark opened his mouth to say something when the door was opened by his father.

“Do you two want to- Oh!”

“Dad, are you serious right now!? Never heard of waiting for permission!?” Mark spat angrily, staying on top of Haechan who hid his face embarrassed behind his hands. “What do you want?”

“We just wanted to know if you want to join us downstairs watching a movie but I guess this is a no. Sorry for interrupting, won’t happen again. Just, don’t be too loud, alright?”

“Dad, just go!”

Mark rolled with his eyes grumbling when his father closed the door, leaving them alone. Head hanging low he looked apologizing at Haechan who wiggled with his legs.

“Even if I like your parents, this was so embarrassing. Your dad barely had caught us having sex,” he mumbled, spying through the cracks of his eyes at the alpha. Mark runs his nose slowly up and down the omegas cheek, kissing his eyes caring.

“Barely,” he admitted sighing, rolling off the omega. “And now they know what we wanted to do, ugh. Let’s pray that they don’t annoy us during breakfast tomorrow.”

“Please not. My parents asked me about every single detail of our relationship. What we are doing, if you treat me right, if we use protection yada yada. Everything embarrassing there is to ask.”

Mark pulled Haechan close, kissing him apologizing. There was no word needed when they looked into each other’s eyes that were speaking themselves. They understood each other without having to talk, knowing right away what the other was thinking. Haechan rested his head on Mark’s shoulder, looking at the screen where the movie was still running. The mood was killed anyway, so why having another attempt to get intimate?

“That’s another reason why I wanted to move out,” Mark said after a while, closing his eyes, focusing on the sweet scent of Haechan that was reaching his nostrils. “We repeat this when we are alone in my apartment, I promise.”

“It’s okay love, really,” The omega raised his head, kissed his chin. “Everything at its time. There is no rush.”

“I just love you and wanted to show it to you. I know, Sex isn’t everything because there is so much more for lovers to prove. Oh, speaking of that,” Mark reached out for the drawer of the nightstand, rumored through it, and handed an envelope to him. “I want you to have this.”

“What’s that?” Haechan sat up confused, opened it, and got big eyes. Inside was a key, wrapped inside a small plastic bag. Irritated the omega raised an eyebrow in confusion, staring at Mark. “A key? For what? And please don’t say ‘it’s the key for my heart’, that would be so cliché. Please do not.”

“It’s not for my heart,” Mark rolled his eyes in annoyance, pushing him to take the key. “It’s the spare key for my apartment. We are not long together and I don’t ask you to move in with me immediately, but I still want you to have it. Imagine, you want to stay at my place and I’m not there yet, you can wait inside. It’s easier than to wait for me. I mean, if you want to move in, I’m always in for that, but please don’t feel pressured. You don’t need to.”

“That’s…wow, um…thank you, Mark! But you didn’t have to an-”

“I want you to have it Haechan.”

Mark looked at him seriously, put the key into Haechan’s hand and closed it slowly, took it into his big palm. Haechan took a deep breath, sighed slowly. Mark got a point. Like this he wouldn’t have to wait in front of his house when he was too early, he could come and go as he pleased and it was a big proof of trust and love from Mark. Nodding he leaned forward, rubbing their noses together, peeking his lips touched.

“Thank you, I appreciate it and take it. I still going to let you know when I want to come over. Concerning the moving in thing, I think it would be too early an-”

“I didn’t intend this with giving you the key Haechan.”

“I know!” Haechan said quickly but calmly, keeping eye contact. “I just wanted to let you know, that I would love to live with Taeyong as long as possible. Once we are done with university, we won’t have a chance to live together anymore. He might have to move to attend the Kia Tigers while I might move in with you if we are together until then. Which I hope and think, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m not ready to move in with you until we are done. Just for you to know.”

“Totally fine with me! You and Taeyong are inseparable, take and enjoy the time together as long as you can. I’m not mad at you. But I won’t mind having you around for a few days of the week.”

“I can grant you this wish, but not for a whole week. Still, need to annoy Taeyong, you know? But now let’s focus on the movie, okay?”

“Fine. I do not need to set an alarm, right?”

“Ugh, no. Let’s sleep out please.”

Haechan put the envelope away, got right away into his current position. Head on his shoulder, one arm on the alpha’s chest, eyes tilted to the screen. Mark held him in his arms, scenting him proudly, smiling when the other’s tensed body relaxed to the fullest. The howling of the wind outside, mixed with the sound of the movie, was lulling him into sleep. The alpha caressed his cheek with care, moved him into a comfortable position to sleep in. With the TV off and blanket up to their shoulders, Mark spooned him from behind, nose buried deep inside his soft hazelnut brown hair.

The alpha was the first one to wake up the next morning. Sighing he rested his cheek on top of his boyfriend's head, looking with half-opened eyes towards the window. He forgot to pull the curtains close, but obviously, neither of them did mind. His arms looped themselves more around the omegas slim waist, like a snake around its prey, planting butterfly light kisses onto the soft neck of the younger. He rested his head on him, observing the snowflakes outside falling. It was a beautiful view and he wished it would last longer. With the most important person in his arms, the warmth and the peace. When Haechan was rolling his shoulders slightly, he tensed, fearing that he had might wake the omega up.

It was past 11 am, normally his mother was done with making breakfast at 9:30 am. It seemed that she did not want to wake them up. Haechan sighed in his sleep, rubbed his nose in annoyance.

“Good morning sunshine,” The alpha whispered into his ear, kissing its shell. “Did you had a good sleep?”

“Like a baby.”

Haechan yawned loud, rolling onto his back. With a tired smile, he scratched his neck, followed by another, smaller yawn.

“I could get used to waking up like this. In your arms, cuddling in bed, and with no duties to fulfill. I love it,” The omega put his hand into the alpha’s neck, scratched it until the other was starting to purr slightly. Lips pulled into a smile that showed off his white teeth, Haechan pulled him down, began the kiss slow and
carefully. Mark leaned with his upper body over the omega, taking his neck to keep him in place, deepening the kiss. Haechan chuckled when he was pressed softly into the sheets, letting his free hand disappear under Mark’s white shirt. With the index finger, he was drawing big circles onto his muscular back, gasping into the kiss when he was hoisted up against his broad chest.

With eyes wide open he buried his hands in his black hair. Haechan was weak for Mark's muscles, his heart beating faster every time he showed them off or used them to carry him around.

“Stop using my weakness all the time for your amusement! That was surprising and unexpected and I wasn't prepared and one day I'm going to get a heart attack because of you!”

Mark shrugged smiling, left a long kiss on top of his head. Deeply in love, he looked into Haechan's big brown eyes, caressing his neck softly.

"You love it. And I love your reactions, they are so cute. I would make sure to keep you safe and alive, I need you in my life. My little, precious omega." He spoke lovely, pressing him close so their chests were meeting. Haechan melted inside overwhelmed with happiness, wrapping his arms harder around Mark's neck, running his nose up and down his cheek.

"And I love my big, romantic, hot, protective boyfriend I could have ever asked for."

"I still can be better after all the trouble we had. I fall for you every single time harder when we meet or kiss. I have something for you!"

"Again? Mark, stop pampering me with all these things an-"

"You don't even know what this is about! I still need to give you your Christmas present you dummy."

Laughing Mark poked his nose, slid him onto the sheets, and headed over to his wardrobe. Haechan stroke his hair back frowning. The gift for Mark was still at his place. He could have brought it with him but no, he totally forgot. What a good boyfriend he was huh?

Mark returned with another envelope, handed it into Haechan's hand encouraging him to open it.

"I forgot yours..." Haechan whispered guilty, playing with the boy in his hand. "Please don't be mad at me."

"It's not the end of the world sweety. You can give it to me next time, okay? Just open mine already, I want to see your reaction!"

Haechan was convinced after a small kiss, opened the envelope and pulled two tickets out of it. Confusion was spreading through his mind, unsure what this meant. The tickets were for a flight to Toronto for the summer break next year. With mouth, wide opened Haechan tilted his head up, looked at Mark shocked.

"What is this supposed to mean?"

"What does it say?" Mark asked smiling, bent one leg while caressing the omegas thighs.

"These are tickets for a flight to Toronto next year during summer break if I'm correct?" Haechan pulled his eyebrows together when Mark nodded happily. "Does this mean we are sharing our summer vacation in Toronto!?"

"It does. Except you want to of course? I know you have never been to Canada and Toronto is the city I was born, and I wanted to show it to you. This is my Christmas gift to you and I would be honored if you take it. It's all on me!"

"But this is so expensive! Mark, seriously, we-"

"Nothing is too expensive when it comes to you. Alright? I love you and I want to show you Toronto. So, are you accepting this gift?"

"It would be a shame to reject it and I always wanted to go there. Especially when you told me stories about Toronto and I want to know the city where you were born! Oh my god!"

Haechan hugged Mark rushed, kissing his face over and over again, whispering small 'thank you' between them. The alpha chuckled joyfully, holding him by his waist. Haechan put the tickets away, jumping on the bed in excitement. Mark took his hand, caressed the back of it with his thumb.

“Should I make us some coffee? You can still stay in bed if you want?"

“That would be nice. I come with you. If I’m not getting up right now, I might fall asleep again. Are your parents still home or at work?”

“Work probably. You want a hoodie? You seem cold.”

“Yes please.”

Haechan sang pleadingly, pulled the black hoodie he got over his head. He followed Mark downstairs, got two cups while Mark was refilling the coffee machine. On the counter was a small note to let them know where the breakfast was. Mark put the cups onto the table, pat his lap when he was sitting down.

Haechan slid into his lap sideways, putting the plates filled with scrambled eggs, toast, and vegetables onto the table. Arms thrown lazily over Mark's shoulder, looking at him questioning.

“What?”

“Nothing. I just like to look at you.”

“I’m ugly in the morning,” The omega pushed his messy hair back, resting his forehead against Mark’s temple. “Even tho you and Tae mention that I look good. Compared to me, you look breathtaking.”

“Me? I pardon you, I look like a potato. You instead,” he said chuckling, sipped some of the coffee. “You look like the sun that just rises up. Blessing the earth with its sunlight and happiness. Just like you.”

“So many compliments at this hour, it's so sweet!” Haechan kissed his jaw softly, taking the cup from Mark to get some coffee into his body. Mark caressed Haechan’s thighs hat he was addicted to, massaging them softly. They were tense and he wanted to help him to relax. The omega moaned relieved, slumped with his body against his chest.

“When do you need to go home today?”

“I have nothing planned. Taeyong is busy with his paper and studying anyway, I think he won’t mind me being gone for another night. I text him and was done. Except you want me to stay of course.”

“Are you kidding?!” Mark asked surprised with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, pinched his thigh. “Of course I want to have you for another night. And maybe, if mom and dad aren’t home, we could try to continue the thing where we had to stop last night.”

“If your parents aren’t interrupting?”

“Or,” Mark lowered his voice, letting his hand wander over to Haechan's crotch, making Haechan inhale sharply. “We continue this after breakfast, knowing my parents are gone for the next six hours at least.”

“That sounds, indeed, as a good plan. First breakfast, then we need to make sure your parents are gone for real and then we can take our time, what do you say? Maybe we could take a shower? Saving some water?”

“What a brilliant omega I can call my boyfriend.”

“I know right? No one is better than me. Call yourself lucky that I’m your boyfriend and that I love you.”

Haechan smirked convinced, kept drinking the coffee.

"And I love you in return. So much," Mark bit playfully into his nose, starting to eat the meal.

He fed Haechan here and there to make sure he had eaten enough, pampering him in affection and love. One arm around his back and under the omegas knees, Mark carried him upstairs into the bathroom, kicking the door shut for some privacy.

Even if his parents weren’t home, they did not need to know or see what they were doing. What they do, is their secret to keep.
