Bzzt.
Bzzt.
A low, soft buzz stirred Kang Sol A awake.
Her phone was buzzing nonstop and she got annoyed and saw all the notification that was keeping her from sleeping well.
It was only 11 PM and she was trying to sleep after a week's worth of no sleep.
The person next to her also woke up because of a notification. The difference is that it was a call and hers was all texts.
After checking all the phone messages, she put her phone down. Kang Sol A then turned to the person beside her. After listening to his few low hums, Han Joonhwi turned his phone off, put it down, and turned towards Sol A.
"Aren't we both on leave? Why are we still getting calls? Ah, I only saw you today and they're calling me back already."
A pout started to form on Sol A's lips and Joonhwi resisted the urge to giggle at the cute sight, but he was caught off-guard when she snuggled closer to him.
"Oh. Something wrong? You're suddenly clingy."
"Of course. I just saw you again after almost a month and they're already stealing you back? That's unfair, I missed you too much."
A chuckle escaped his lips as Joonhwi pulled her closer to give her a tight hug and Sol A gave him an annoyed stare.
"Why did you laugh?"
"Nothing, you were too cute."
An eye roll was only Sol A's response as Joonhwi planted a kiss on the top of her head.
"Let's just sleep well tonight and figure out the rest tomorrow? Don't worry, love. I won't leave right away, after all, I'm on leave."
A soft hum from Sol A was enough to put Joonhwi at ease as they both doze off to sleep comfortably in each other's arms.
