Work Text:
The pair of them walk onto the Radiant Accipter and stand there for a moment, taking in the gift from the Traveler, before the silence is broken by Rai unceremoniously removing her Crown of Tempests and tossing it into the first storage cupboard she sees. Soon follows multiple clangs as she tosses her guns into a second cupboard and a heavy thud followed by two smaller thuds as she removes her chest armor and gauntlets and dumps them on the floor. This leaves her standing a few steps into the ship in a white singlet, her leg armor and boots. She turns to look at Crow who has not moved from the doorway and is trying very hard not to look at the impromptu stripping that occurred in front of him, but is betrayed by a blush that spreads across his cheeks.
“You can make yourself at home here too you know?” She says, gesturing to the rest of the shelves and cupboards by the door. “The Traveler made this ship for two people, it would be rude to not use it.”
He clears his throat, and tries to clear his mind, he always found her attractive but seeing her like this, seeing her with her guard down as the post-combat adrenaline rush wears off… now he thinks she is beautiful. “Well, I can’t argue with that,” he says as he follows suit in removing his helmet, chest armor, gauntlets and guns, but instead piles them nicely on a shelf next to the door, taking his time to compose his thoughts.
He feels a jolt as the ship roars into action and he turns around to see Rai leaning over one of the two sets of computers as she inputs navigational instructions. Almost of their own accord, his eyes look her over, following the lines of the Lichtenberg scars that travel down her arms and what he can see of her back. He wonders if they cover her entire body. His feet make no noise as he walks across the ship to stand behind her, a combination of his Hunter tendencies and his paranoia about making it past fellow Lightbearers unnoticed, and judging by the fact he is within a metre of her he would take a guess that he has succeed in not being noticed.
“You know you don’t have to keep hiding in the shadows here right? I know you. It’s okay.” She calls out as she flips two switches and the roar of the engines quiets to a hum.
He leans forward and whispers, his mouth only centimetres away from her ear. “Oh, I know.”
She jumps and Crow would swear he hears a crackle of electricity as she turns around to face him, the feigned look of fear and anger on her features is weakened by the blush spreading across her face and down her neck, where he can see the tips of more Lichtenberg scars, his eyes trace them back to their origin seemingly in the centre of her chest. He pulls his eyes back up to meet hers, hoping she didn’t notice where they traveled but judging by the look in her eyes and the smirk on her lips, she noticed.
Her back is resting against the console as she reaches out to put a hand around his waist and pull him close to her, close enough to see the dancing patterns of his skin. She leans her head forward and places a series of slow kisses from his collarbone up to his jawline, she can feel him swallow hard as she moves up his throat. When she pulls away to look at him his hands reach out towards her face, his moves slow and deliberate so he does not seem like a threat, until he is cupping her face.
“Rai, I…” He pauses, trying to find the way to word what it is he’s trying to say but she speaks before he can finish.
“Crow, it’s okay, we don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do,” she takes her hands off of his waist as she looks away, “I’m sorry, I think I’ve overstepped—“
Now it is his turn to interrupt her, he moves her face so that he is looking in her eyes even when she tries to look away. “It’s not that I don’t want to,” because he does, he can’t think of anything he’s wanted more since he met her on the Moon, “I want this, I want you , I just don’t know… if this is allowed.”
She lets out a loud, sharp laugh, “There… isn’t really a handbook with do’s and dont’s for Guardians but if there was,” she interrupts her own sentence by placing her hands around his waist, “I think I am considered exempt to all of them.”
Crow lets out a sigh he didn’t know that he was holding, “Good,” and pulls her face back towards his, their lips pressing together.
She feels his fingers move from where they were around her face, past her ears, and weave their way through her hair, she smiles against his mouth for a moment before she bites down softly onto his bottom lip and she feels his grip tighten on her hair. Her hands ghost down the side of his chest, finding the bottom of his undershirt before pulling it up over his head, the kiss interrupted for a moment before Crow pulls their faces back together, like a drowning man reaching for the surface.
Placing her hands against his chest, she traces out his muscle lines, her fingers skimming over the thin lines of scars from both his past life and his current, she maps them out as her hands travel down to his waistband, her fingers making easy work undoing the Hunter armor and she can already see how hard he is. She reaches out and places her hand around his erection and within a second of her hand making contact she feels Crow’s mouth open against her own and as she slowly moves her hand down the shaft and back up again he moans into her mouth.
It takes Crow a moment for his head to clear, the only thing he could focus on was the feeling of her hand as it continues to work its way up and down his shaft — he could very easily say that this is the best thing he’s felt since the day he was Risen — but as the world, and the woman in front of him, comes back into focus he feels a hunger he has never felt before. This hunger aches deep in his chest, makes him weak in the knees and when Rai drops to her own and places him in her mouth, he swears he sees stars swimming in front of his eyes as she sucks him off.
“F-fuck, Rai, I —” he takes a moment to steady himself, “— I want you.”
He helps her up from where she was on the ground, helping to remove her shirt on the way up. Her back is resting against the console as his mouth draws kisses along her Lichtenberg scars from her chin to her breasts, his hands travelling to her pants and undoing them, finding her already wet. He slides himself into her and both of their breaths hitch. Rai reaches for one of his hands — the other has made its way back into her hair — and moves it to her clit, guiding his movements at first but soon he picks up on the rhythm she teaches him. His hips grind against hers, he ducks her head into her collarbone and marks her there, her hands reach up to his forearms and as they thrust against each other her nails dig deep into him.
A whimper escapes her lips, “Crow —“, and he sees a crackle of electricity dance across her blue skin at the same moment he feels her tighten around him and — fuck, this is the best thing he’s felt since he was Risen, and looking down at Rai like this is the best sight he’s ever seen — it tips him over the edge, the dance they had been performing since the day they met until this very moment finally reaches its crescendo.
She pulls their foreheads together as she feels him twitch and cum inside her, their bodies pressed together slick with sweat as they catch their breath, eyes wild.
“I… you’re a quick learner,” she says after a minute, interlacing her fingers with his against the console.
He smiles, placing a kiss on her forehead, “Well, this is a ship for two people after all, there’s always time to practice.”
