  • marinette writes songs yada yada alias blah blah mask secret identity yada yada
  • real name mars annette todd
  • THATS RIGHT FOLKS ITS MARIBAT TIME
  • originally from gotham, street kid, orphan, all that fun stuff
  • no miraculous au bc that's not done often
  • however batman still exists bc, hello?? crime??? is a thing??? that exists???
  • yeah tikki is a cat
  • but marinette is a meta bc Plot™
  • HOLY SHIT SHE’S CLAIRVOYANT!!!! (that's a link btw)
  • that’s how she knows that lila is a liar

  • i am smart
  • so she’s not just a singer but she writes stories also
  • about the things she perceives
  • mayhaps detective stories??? idk
  • yeah so like usual salt stories class is being an asshole
  • lila redemption???
  • “imma take away all your friends muahahaha!!”

  • SIX MONTHS LATER
  • “yeah no they’re assholes you can have them”

  • they commiserate over the idiocracy of her classmates

  • so la di da marinette loses her friends and gains chloe, luka, and kagami
  • juleka knows that lila is lying but she's not bullying marinette??? the class is???(alya, alix, kim, sometimes max if his boyf ropes him in) and she’s used to being on her own so she leaves
  • she knows the class is hurting marinette so she eventually breaks off ties with them and switches to marc’s class
  • it breaks her heart that rose fell but she won't be friends (juleka has a crush and you can't change my mind) with a gaslighter so she eventually leaves.
  • the couffaine siblings leave kitty section and the band eventually breaks up
  • oh mY GOD THEY JOIN MARINETTE!!!!
  • ok so luka is the guitarist/back up singer/pianist
  • juleka plays the drums and the violin
  • marinette writes the songs and is the lead singer
  • and sometimes if they need more people they’ll get random kids to play and go on tour with them
  • it’s like a competition
  • they send out flyers on social media and if marinette deems the person trustworthy she’ll give them samples and sees if they're any good
  • the mystery and the competition is part of the draw
  • plus the songwriting and the relatable-ness
  • they are super popular in england, america, and france (duh)
  • chloe is their pr manager/agent
  • she is to be f e a r e d
  • pepper potts is looking at her for an internship offer
  • they get their first debut in england and america by opening for jagged
  • the next day chloe is Flooded with offers for ppl to be their producer
  • they already have jagged's

  • kagami isn't really one for the music scene, and her mom is kinda controlling
  • less so now that marinette convinced her otherwise but still

  • and also she is totally aroace
  • why you were caught up in crushes and romance kagami was studying the blade

  • (damian is aro ace too but not repulsed so he's dating jon) (secretly tho so don’t tell anyone) (but not really) (“you’re dating jon” “nonsense drake, i merely tolerate his presence” “uh-huh”)

  • JT (marinette’s band) (and also totally a tribute to jason but shhhh) is having a concert in gotham wayne’s get backstage tickets, la di da,
  • cue freak out
  • “OH MY GOD JAY-JAY I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD???!!!?!?” *rips off mask*
  • “oh mY GOD MARS??????”
  • sibling reunion, adorable hugs, tears all around,
  • chloe: SO YOURE THE ASSHOLE THAT WENT AND DIED
  • (bc marinette explained her triggers in gotham b4 going there)
  • she tears him a new one
  • damian: you are now my sister
  • tim: HOLY SHIT BRUCE ITS GENETIC
  • luka: uhh guys?? we have a concert??
  • marinette: oH YEAH we’ll catch up later. the show must go on! *drags a panicking juleka bc hello! cassandra wayne!! right there!!! in front of her!!!! her gay heart can’t take it!!!!*
  • *concert, sings some songs, la di da yadda yadda punk rock but also whatever the hell folklore is bc taylor swift is a queen (my taste in music is all over the place so pls don’t expect me to choose)
  • jason is so proud bc hell yeah!! that's his sister!!!! she’s a famous singer!!! he knew she would get places!!!! 
  • dick is happy for jason bc he found his sister!!! he found pixie pop!!!! (jason totally confided in dick before he died and you can’t change my mind) (everyone likes dick) (he’s sunshine) (you can’t not like him) (he only mentioned her like once or twice tho bc cmon, this is jason. he aint a sharer) 
  • tim is trying not to fall asleep while he tries (in vain, mind you) to find out who the hell mars is
  • damian is just vibing bc he lo-key relates to these songs but they ruin his image so must,,, stay,,,, stoic!!!!
  • bruce is just confused bc????? jason has a sister?????? why didn’t he know this???? he’s the world's greatest detective?????
  • and cass is like “imma ask that cute goth girl out” bc she knows what a gay panic looks like and is willing to try things out
  • selina is all “fuck yeah new kitten” and is totally conspiring with cass to get her and the goth girl together
  • and of course the audience is like !!!!!!! JT!!!!!!!!!! the waynes!!!!! how can you not !!!!!!!!
  • anyway yeah uuuhhhhh i can’t write angst (at least not right now. i’m in a crack mood) so like when thats over i can write what happened to jason and mars 
  • the paris group loves JT

  • it amuses marinette to no end
  • also chloenette is canon in this verse

  • (marinette is mars on tour and marinette in gotham) (well actually all her friends call her mars bc lets face it, mars is a cool name, and her classmates/parents call her marinette)
  • (oh yeah marinette’s parents fell for lila’s lies so she lives in the hotel with chloe when they aint on tour)
  • anyway lila doesn’t explicitly know that marinette is JT, but like, cmon. anyone with a half a brain knows they’re the same. unfortunately the class shares like half a brain cell, bustier included.
  • and like, as much as we don’t want to admit it, lila isn’t an idiot. 
  • yeah she said that she’s ladybugs best friend, but hawkmoth ain’t gonna fall for that. he ain't no fool either (and also in canon she works for him but shhhhhhhh not here) (also this is a no miraculous au bc i said so)
  • (she would not say she’s batman’s civilian aide, as much as some tropes like to play it) (not bashing anyone bc those tropes are fun) (just saying)
  • also yeah we’re making lila cooler in this verse bc she’s honestly a fun character to write
  • like yeah shes a bitch but she cool
  • minus the fact that she’s working for hawkmoth but like, i love most villian/antivilian characters so why not make her less of an antagonist and more of a nuisance

i wrote this in like july of last year and just found it again while going through my drive to Organize Things and was like "i don't want this to rot here" so i made the terrible choice to post it.
