Chapter Text
Snapdragon wanders the house alone, having separated from his friends..
All he's trying to do is find himself. Any other variation so he doesn't feel so pathetically alone. At Least find someone who knows him other than a one time booty call.
He hears noises coming from the bathroom.. someone inside crying. He turns the doorknob, but it's locked. So he closes his eyes and phases through.
His heart drops. Finally, he found a variation of himself..
This alternate Snapdragon is hunched down to the floor, sobs wracking his body. His hair is matted and he wears a beautiful shimmering capelate. He's muttering under his breath, his hands clawing at his eyes as he cries.
Snapdragon glares down at himself "the fuck happened to you ?"
The man on the floor jumps, but his face relaxes as he sees it's himself "oh, hi…"
Snapdragon crosses his arms, feeling disgusted at the sight of this pathetic mess "why must you cry so loud?"
"I miss…. I miss my Ruven" he rubs at his eyes, even though they are red and puffy and are already irritated.
Snapdragon sits down next to the figure "who's Ruven?" He feels a spike of hope. Perhaps finally someone to love him?
He frowns deeply "he… he's the love of my life" or at least that's what he thinks "I- I loved him but.. he hated me. He finds me annoying" he sobs out, laying his head on snapdragons lap.
The REAL Snapdragon makes no move but a face of disgust "tell me more.." he makes his voice soft and comforting, but it was more of a demand.
He speaks "we were about to go to battle- but I woke up here and-" he sobs " Oh god, my child!" He wines
Snapdragon's interest is once again peaked "a child?"
He sniffles "well.. kind of… he's part giant millipede dog, but also part Ruven - he's our child" he sobs once again.. dramatic bitch
Snapdragon suddenly understands why people find him so annoying "you had a child together? Even though he hated you?" He doesn't even want to ask about the giant millipede Ruven dog kid.
"Well, he doesn't hate me… I think.. but, he saved my life.. he's my prince" he rubs at his eyes, now sitting up "but.. he doesn't like me…" he sighs.. "I knew it was too good to be true…"
Snapdragon just looks at him, almost excited "so you were in love? What.. what did it feel like?"
The other man frowns at him, straining to find an answer "well.." this makes him self reflect… Did he even love Ruven? Of course he loved him.. right? They're friends… or, he has a crush on him.. right?
Snapdragon shakes his shoulders, jolting his copy from his train of thought "what did it feel like?!" He demands, eyes intense. He needs to know.
"I don't know!" He yells out, starting to cry again "I can't keep tricking myself into being in love! It's never gonna happen!!" He collapses back into snapdragons Lap, crying even harder.
Snapdragon pushes him up, hitting him against the bathtub. He stands, looking down at his pathetic self "you make me
sick"
he turns, and exits the room, ignoring the cries of his alternate self as he exits.
