Nemoto and Tomoko are walking home together during the tail end of the school year.
Nemo, “Hey Kuro, wanna room together after graduation?”
Tomoko, “...Seriously?”
Nemo, “Yeah! We wished to write a light novel and voice it’s anime adaptation during Tanabata, right? Why not go for it together? We could also share rent, have fun and even try cross-promoting as Vtubers like you talked about. Doesn’t supporting each other like that sound nice?”
Tomoko, “Well, I guess it does when you put it that way... Alright, why not? It’s not like I had anything planned.”
Nemo beams, exclaims, “Yay!” and hugs Tomoko.
Tomoko smiles, ‘I’m tempted to tease her for that outburst but I’d feel bad when she’s this happy.’

Nemo, “Hello and welcome to the NemoKuro channel! I’m Nemo,” she gestures to Tomoko, “and this is Kuro!”

Nemo groans, “Whatever. Let’s move on to talking about what this channel is actually about. The first objective is to discuss anime, manga and light novels. The second objective is to advertise the projects we’ll be working on.”
Cat-Ear-Tomoko, “I’ll be trying to write light novels.”
Nemo, “I’m trying to break into voice acting.”

With that, Tomoko and Nemo get into the nitty-gritty of pleasing their audience.
...
Nemo returns to their apartment after trying out for a big break role, “I’m home.”
Tomoko, “Welcome back, how did the audition go?”
Nemo, “I didn’t get it.” Nemo shrugs.
This was the third time in a row.
Tomoko, “How are you feeling?”
Nemo just gives Tomoko one of her dead-eyed smiles, “I’m fine.”
Tomoko, “That facade won’t fool me Nemo.”
Nemo doesn’t respond.
Tomoko sighs, walks to Nemo, hugs her and says, “Don’t worry Nemo, you’re strong enough to get over this; and even if you weren’t, I’d still be here for you.”
There’s a pause before Nemo starts to cry silently. She returns Tomoko’s hug with a tight embrace.
Nemo gets her next big job.

Tomoko has little success until she starts a light novel based on her own life’s shenanigans. It does pretty well. Somewhere along the line, the artist also got flooded by foreign dickpicks. That was a thing.

One day, Nemo walks out of the shower with nothing but a towel on and finds Tomoko blatantly ogling her.
Nemo laughs, “You still haven’t found someone in that college to satiate all your lust?”
Tomoko, “Ahh!” She looks away. “N-No. Sorry.”
Nemo smirks, “No need to apologize: I’m used to it by now.” In fact, she felt like she might have been around Tomoko a little too long. “You wanna try more than just looking?”
Tomoko’s eyes widen, her gaze returns and she flushes, “W-What?!”
Nemo blushes but shrugs, “College is for experimentation, right? And it’s not like I have time for dating, so…”
Tomoko is stunned but eventually swallows and says, “W-Well... if you’re okay with it…”
Nemo nods and removes her towel.
Tomoko slowly gets up, approaches Nemo, looks for hesitation, finds none and starts to fondle Nemo’s chest. Nemo can’t keep her heat or heartbeat down. She leans forward. They kiss.
Nemo eventually pulls back and says through uneven breath, “Lets move to my bed.”
After everything is done but not said, Nemo is left contemplating. Nemo… wasn’t actually attracted to girls. However, that still felt really good and... she somehow found Tomoko sexually arousing regardless. Maybe she was attracted to how Tomoko found her attractive?? Perhaps she was bewitched by Tomoko as a person and that just allows for sexual attraction?? Whatever the reason… she wanted more.
She turns to look at Tomoko, “Hey Kuro?”
Tomoko mirrors her, “Yeah?”
Nemo, “Will you go out with me?”
Once again, Tomoko eyes widen and her face flushes, but she eventually says, “O-okay.”
Nemo, “Alright then.” She sits up and smirks, “It’s my turn.”

Nemo, “Hello dear followers!” She starts grinning evilly. “Today I’m going to betray a friend!”

Akane reacts as expected.

Tomoko arrives home one day to find Nemo cooking with nothing but an apron on.
Nemo, “Heya Kuro. I decided to try the naked apron bit. How do you like it?” She shakes her hips for emphasis.
Tomoko sighs and thinks, 'I feel like such a tool right now.' After that, she walks up to Nemo, hugs her from behind, kisses her cheek and says, “I love you Nemo.”
Nemo gasps and drops her cookware. After a moment, she places a hand on Tomoko’s arm, “I… I love you too Kuro.”

Eventually, Tomoko’s light novel gets an anime adaption. They’re amused that Nemo gets to voice Nemo.

While Nemo was doing a non-live recording, Cat-Ear-Tomoko takes Nemo’s chair, spins it till she’s facing sideways and sits on her lap.
Nemo pouts, “Kurooo, I’m in the middle of recording!”
Tomoko smirks, “I know, but a cat is entitled to be a selfish asshole who sits on her master’s lap, right?”
Nemo’s pout turns into a half-smile, half-pout. It’s adorable.
Tomoko, “Besides, this is more important. Nemo, originally, in high school, you were the very first reliable source of kindness I had. After that, you said I inspired you to open up about your true passions which let us became genuine friends. Now, thanks to you, we’re even making our dreams come true together. It’s impossible overstated just how much you mean to me. You are literally the best thing to ever happen to my life and I’d like you to continue being that for the rest of it.” Tomoko opens her hand to reveal a ring.
Nemo gasps while covering her mouth and tearing up. She removes her hands, says “Yes,” and pulls Tomoko into a kiss.
Tomoko flashes a V-sign to the camera.

Tomoko and Nemo enter Tomoki’s apartment.
Nemo, “Please excuse the intrusion.”
Tomoki, “It’s fine... Wait… No. Why are you here? Tomoko, didn’t you tell me you had something important you needed to talk about?”
Tomoko, “Right.” She grabs Nemo’s hand and they prostrate themselves before him, much to his shock. “Nemo is my lover and we want your sperm for a child. Please Tomoki.”
Nemo, “Please!”
Needless to say, Tomoki is stunned. However, he doesn’t take long to recover, “Get off the damn floor!”
Nemo gets up, grabs her arm and looks sideways.
Tomoko looks him in the eyes, “So?”
Tomoki, “Well... I’m not saying no... but I don’t know enough that I could say yes yet.”
Tomoko smiles, “Well, we actually studied up beforehand.”
They move to a table before explaining things, ..... “Ultimately, we’re okay with letting you be as involved as you want to be. Having the support of 3 parents instead of 2 could obviously be beneficial.”
Tomoki sighs and rubs his hair, “Alright, I’ll do it. We’ll see what happens after that.”
Tomoko hugs him, “Thank Tomoki,”.
Tomoki smiles and returns her embrace, “No problem sis.”
Nemo goes, “Awwwww!” before joining their hug.
After they return home, Nemo senses something off about Tomoko, “Kuro, what’s wrong?”
Tomoko, “...I… If our child gets angry and tells me I’m not their real mom, I just… I’m not sure I could handle that.”
Nemo says, “Ohh Kuro,” and holds her.
Tomoko wonders if she would have said such a thing as a child and it terrifies her that she couldn’t tell.
...
Eventually it comes time to come out to their parents.
Tomoko, “There’s no easy way to say this so I’ll just get straight to the point: we’re lovers, Nemo is pregnant with Tomoki’s child and we’re going to raise it. If you want to see your grandchild, you’ll need to accept our relationship.”
Ms. Kuroki covers her mouth while inhaling and tears up. After a short pause, she turns to Nemo, “Congratulations!” She smiles at the both of them and asks, “When are you due?”
Nemo and Tomoko exhale before Tomoko says, “Nine months. We decided to tell you immediately after we knew.”
Mr. Kuroki finally recovers and chuckles, “Leave no room for argument, huh? I can’t help but feel proud.”
The girls smile.
Nemo’s parents react similarly.

Shortly after, their autobiographical series reaches the proposal which simultaneously marks their publicly coming out. Their popularity subsequently skyrockets.

Tomoko’s daughter never tells her she isn’t her real mom.
