It was so cute I had to include it!
It's not exactly apart of the story line but it's my inspiration for this story...now back to the story!

Third person pov:
Lately, Things were going pretty well in Katsuki's life...
After the fight at ground beta with Izuku followed by more consequent hits to his ego, Katsuki started to finally build proper friendships with everyone in his class....especially Izuku.
Though at first Katsuki told himself he only bore with him because they were rivals....now he's accepted that it's because he genuinely likes the nerds company.
The two of them do almost everything together now, whether it's training, home work or even eating...they've started behaving like the childhood friends that they are.
....Maybe Katsuki should be satisfied with just that but.... After recalling every interaction they've ever had since their childhood, he's realized something potentially game changing......
His emotions have always gone far beyond just liking the nerd.
....It just took him a whole lot of grief to finally figure that out.
Anyways...
Class wise, he's started treating his classmates as equals and friends over just competition (they kinda get that he doesn't mean to insult them when he calls them nicknames anymore) ...on top of that, Shinsou got transferred into the class causing Mineta to move to 1B and things couldn't be better because he never liked the freaky grape. Shinsou on the other hand is cool.
For a while, everything was peaceful........
But well, 'peace' in general seems to be very ephemeral in nature for class 1A in particular...
It happens two months into their second year....
~Katsuki's room~
Katsuki wakes up at 5 am just as usual, to get ready to meet the nerd for their morning jogs.
He quickly grabs his clothes and goes downstairs to the common bathroom to brush his teeth, expecting no one other than himself and the nerd to be there, owing to how early it is.
......What he doesn't expect is the absolute chaos the second he gets to the ground floor.
His classmates were in the middle of ....what looked like a mass existential crisis....but that's not what surprised him....
What surprised him was the fact that every single one of his classmates (that was including Tokoyami, Ojiro and Tsuyu....) had some sort of animal appendage that he didn't remember them possessing before....
He was having a hard time believing his eyes.
What the fuck is going on?

Katsuki pov:
I blinked my eyes slowly as I looked around the room once more trying to understand what in the flying fuck was going on, when I realized something...
Wait...where's Deku?
I started scanning the room to find Deku only to come up empty.
...that's weird...
That was when one of my classmates finally noticed me standing at the bottom of the stairs....
.....is that...shitty hair?
Even the usually positive Kirishima seemed to be quite confused and worried about his new pair of fluffy ears and a tail as he walked over to me.
"Bakugou! Do you-? Wait!! You too?!"
Kirishima whisper-yells.
I scowl at him, confused by his words...
"What do u mean shitty hair?"
"Huh? What do you mean 'what do I mean'?! Don't tell me you haven't noticed the brand new ears and tail!"
Kirishima exclaims in surprise.
............................eh?
My eyes widen and I quickly pat my hair....to feel two pointed and furry ears which were not present yesterday.
Bewildered by my find, I turn and look back...to once again see that Kirishima was right.
I had a long fluffy tail swaying back and forth behind me.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!" I yell as it finally registers, that I had indeed grown animal ears and a tail.
I then flinch slightly at the loud sound and instinctively covers my new, and apparently sensitive, animal ears.
Kirishima winces as well covering his own floppy ears.
"Easy bro... Still... I can't believe you didn't notice till now..."
Kirishima whispers, while still rubbing his ears.
I would've said sorry (yeah I know. Now, I actually apologize when I'm wrong....Deku's influence.) but my mind was currently preoccupied with trying to figure out how this had even happened.
A villains quirk....?
No, the UA security is too tight for that....probably.
Then maybe one of Deku's quirks...?
It's possible...One for all keeps surprising him with quirks from its past holders....but they usually come out spasmodically during training, and the few that I have seen are mostly battle oriented so I don't know if-
"Hey bro, you're mumbling like Midoriya again~" Kirishima teases me, making me pause, and blush lightly in embarrassment.
It seems that thanks to spending more time with him, I've started to pick up a few of the nerds habits....I find myself mumbling once in a while (though not as bad as Deku himself) when I'm thinking really hard and shitty hair makes it a point to tease me about it every time I do.
(Though I'm glad I'm not the only one....just the other day I found Deku cussing like a sailor when he accidentally stubbed his toe on a dumbbell....
.....To say I was proud is an understatement.)
Speaking of Deku...
"....so do you have any idea where the nerd is?" I ask.
Kirishima shakes his head, but then starts pondering something before calling out to the rest of the class...
"Hey guys, did anyone see Midoriya today?"
Kirishima yells out to everyone.
The chaos dies down instantly as everyone starts to wonder about Deku's whereabouts....but no one comes up with the answer I'm looking for.
"No, I haven't seen him"
"Me neither..."
"Is he in his room?"
"Non, I checked before coming downstairs..."
".....maybe Midoriya left early for his jog, kero?"
...no, he usually waits for me even if he's early....where the fuck is this shitty nerd?
As I'm thinking of all the possible reasons which could make Deku of all people, leave without waiting for me ,(which are very few to be honest, considering how the nerd still insists on taking me with him wherever he goes), Aizawa walks into the dorms.
The class quiets in an instant.
Aizawa looks at the class...
The class looks back...
.....Aizawa turns around and walks out like nothing happened....
he closes the door and they hear the lock click.
...the class stews in silence...
".....wait....SENSEIIII!!!" And then they all run to the door screaming for their home room teacher a.k.a class 1A's dad.
5 minutes later, the lock clicks again and in steps a very, very tired looking Aizawa with Recovery girl by his side.
"Ok...I have no clue how this happened but I brought Recovery Girl to help us out."
Aizawa states while rubbing his forehead...
"Senseiiii!"
The class sobs in relief as Dadzawa comes to the rescue.
After that, Recovery girl goes one by one checking everyone's animal appendages.
During her checkup we all make the following discoveries-
1. Everyone seems to have appendages belonging to specific existing animals. (Fucking obvious)
2. They seem to have instincts belonging to those specific animals (proven by how half'n'half actually hissed when recovery girl accidentally spilled her drink on his hand)
3. Lastly, there seem to be a maximum of two of each type of animal in our class...which could either be meaningful or just a weird fucking coincidence:
Icyhot and insomniac both seem to have cat ears and tails.
Shitty hair and Raccoon face have dog appendages.
Pikachu and Ducktape have mouse ears and tails....which also explains why icyhot and insomniac are looking at them so intently....
Shoji has grown bird wings which honestly just looks very weird....Tokoyami has grown wings as well but, it suits him just fine.
Tsuyu....looks the same but her skin is very slimy now thanks to her secreting mucus like a frog. (Thank whatever gods are up there that the grape freak isn't here to see this...)
Momo and Jiro have fox tails and ears.....They are currently busy fawning over each other's fluffy tails.
Ojiro has monkey ears now in addition to his tail.....according to recovery girl, the invisible chick does too (....not that we can see it.)
Round face and Glasses have bear ears and tails...(in Uraraka's case I can kinda see the resemblance...)
Koda has rabbit ears....much to the happiness of his rabbit friends if their excessive jumping is anything to go by...
Aoyama has something similar to a chameleons skin...and is currently using it to camouflage as a disco ball.
Sato has cow ears and a cows tail.
And lastly me... My ears, tail and sharp canines apparently indicate that I'm a wolf.
Well, I guessed as much.
....I wonder what animal Deku is....why isn't he back yet?
As I start to worry about Izuku's whereabouts, Recovery girl gets a call.
She answers it and speaks to the person on the other end.
After hanging up, She turns and speaks to Aizawa sensei in a hushed voice before addressing us.
"That was All might just now. He said that a student had informed him of what happened early this morning, so he investigated it...turns out it was an episode of an out of control quirk. Aizawa sensei will tell you the rest of the details, I have some matters to attend to so I'll be leaving now."
The class starts whispering in confusion...they didn't remember anyone in UA with an out of control quirk other than their own Midoriya....and his control had already gotten far better than back when they first started high school.
Aizawa continues from where she left off...
"It's understandable that you're all confused....the quirk belonged to a middle schooler who visited our campus yesterday....Midnight's niece. She's a late bloomer so she was still learning how to control her quirk....and it's exactly why Midnight was supposed to watch her at all times..."
He hisses out the last sentence, pausing as his eyes flash red in anger just thinking about midnight's carelessness....
The temperature in the room drops and everyone gulps in fear of their very pissed Dadzawa.
A moment later, as if nothing happened, Aizawa regains his calm before speaking once more...
"It seems she managed to sneak away and into the training field where you guys were having class.....That's where you made contact with her quirk. Her quirk lasts for about 24 hours from when it takes effect, which means that you kids should be normal by tomorrow morning. It gives people the characteristics belonging to the particular animal which their personality resembles.....but it's a little more special than just that."
"What do you mean sensei?"
Glasses asks in curiosity.
Aizawa sighs tiredly and begrudgingly continues,
"....it has a different affect on 'soulmates'....before you ask what a soulmate is, let me elaborate....Soul mates are two people who complete each other in all aspects....They are meant for each other in every way possible, platonically.....and romantically."
The class looks even more confused than before as Aizawa finishes his explanation about soul mates........All might chooses that precise moment to slam the door open, scaring the shit out of everyone except Aizawa.
All might poses in his skeletal form....
"I am here.....With a proper explanation!"
He coughs blood at the end of his line, once again scaring the shit out of everyone.
....wait....Deku isn't with all might either....what's going on?
All might drags my attention away from my thoughts as he speaks to us...
"Simply put, a soulmate is a person who influences you the most, understands you the most, makes you feel the happiest.....and last but not least, loves you the most."
Everyone listens in silence, as they ponder their teachers words...
"But what does that have to do with this quirk?"
Kirishima asks as he looks to the teachers...
All might looks away sheepishly, while Aizawa answers,
"As I said before, the quirk affects soulmates differently....if two soul mates are affected by it at the same time, then they are both given the same animals' characteristics....in addition, the personality aspects of the animal that both of them resemble describes the type of relationship that the two of them have...."
Aizawa glares at All might, and All might flinches slightly before continuing....
"....for example, if two soul mates were turned into, let's say, wolves...."
All might glances at me, meaningfully,
"...Then the relationship they have with each other would be described as feirce, passionate and truthful....all of which are personality aspects of a wolf."
.....ok....now, what the fuck was that look about?
I start thinking a mile a minute contemplating its meaning...
Third person pov:
The rest of the class sits in silence as they all take a moment to let it sink in....
And then, someone squeals.
Everyone, including Katsuki, turns to look at the source of the sound.....to find Momo and Jiro hugging each other, looking absolutely ecstatic.
"I can't believe my incredible girlfriend is my soul mate!!" Jiro squeals in happiness (which is quite shocking in itself because Jiro never squeals)
Momo just hugs her back with a wide smile on her face....
That seemed to be the catalyst because all around class, couples and couples to be (basically mutual piners), began to squeal, yell and laugh in joy as they found the person they were meant to be with.
Uraraka had jumped into Iida's arms, who held her princess style, pleasantly surprised....
Kirishima had picked up Mina, a wide grin on his face as he twirled her around while she laughed in glee....
Ojiro and Hagakure appeared to be both surprised and happy....this being the final push they needed to confess to each other....
Kaminari and Sero high fived each other, both grinning in happiness....
Tokoyami and Shoji were standing next to each other in silence, smiling softly as they held hands....
Todoroki and Shinsou were leaning against each other on the couch, purring happily....even they had a small smile on both of their faces.
Everyone else looked on at their classmates with smiles on their faces, happy for those who found their soulmate.
Katsuki watched everyone in silence.....looking at the happy couples, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of loneliness.
He quietly directed his gaze to the entrance of the dorms.....
....Izuku....where are you?
Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder....and turned to see All Might, looking at him with a knowing smile before squeezing his shoulder in reassurance....
"Young Midoriya was the one who informed me this morning."
Katsuki looked up at him hopefully,
"Then do you know where he is?"
All might smiles once more as he replies,
"He should be with Recovery girl right now.....after I told him the effects of the quirk, he asked if he could wait for recovery girl to come back from the dorms so he could have his check up done separately, before coming back himself.....I suggest you wait for him to return......you might be surprised."
All Might chuckles when he sees the light frustration in Katsuki's eyes....
Aizawa sighs as he looks at his students, and decides to give them a day off, because there is no way they'll focus on class with this shit going on.
He informs the class of his decision before walking out of the dorms, All Might following behind him after giving Katsuki one last reassuring smile.
Soon after that, everyone starts to disperse....They go back to their dorms either hoping to get some more sleep or to spend more time with their Soulmates.
Meanwhile Katsuki goes to the common bathrooms to freshen up.
Once he gets back, he eats some breakfast and sits on the couch, patiently waiting for Izuku to come back.
10 minutes later, he's scrolling through his phone when his sensitive wolf ears pick up the sound of a door knob clicking.
He immediately perks up and looks at the door, instinctively knowing it's Izuku without even seeing him....
"Deku? Where have you been all morning shitty nerd?"
He snaps lightly, trying to sound annoyed but can't quite bring himself to feel anything but happiness and relief at Izuku's return.
The door doesn't open, but Katsuki knows he's still there.
He sighs and walks over to open the door himself....
"What is it, De-!!"
Katsuki is unable to finish because the second he opens the door, a flash of green lightning rushes past him and up the stairs......without so much as saying a word.
"Wha-?"
Katsuki pauses for a moment so his senses can catch up.
.....what just happened?
It takes a minute for Katsuki to understand that Izuku actually ignored him, and even worse....ran away from him.
".....What. The. FUCK!"
Katsuki yells in frustration, ignoring the pain in his ears at the loudness, as he races after Izuku.
What the hell is wrong with that nerd?! I wait for him all morning and the guy just runs past me without even saying hi?! What the actual fuck?!
Katsuki runs up to Izuku's room, explosions blasting him forward.
He reaches Izuku's floor just as Izuku closes the door to his room.
He walks up to the door, annoyed and is about to explode it off its hinges....when he hears it.
Muffled sobs could be heard through the door.
Katsuki calms down immediately after he hears them.
Izuku....
Something in his heart tugs at him painfully, as he listens to Izuku crying....and he whimpers sadly in response.
He hesitates for a moment....and then softly knocks on the door.
"Deku? Are...are you ok? I-if I did something to make you feel this way, then I'm really sorry....I just want to see you.....please, let me in Izuku..."
Katsuki is begging by this point, worry for his childhood best friend/crush being the only thing on his mind....
....please, tell me what's wrong....
After the longest minute of his life, he hears the knob click and immediately breaks out of his thoughts.
He pauses for a moment, before opening the door.
Katsuki walks in.....to find Izuku hiding under the bed, only his fluffy tail peeking out from underneath it.
It is both the saddest and cutest thing he has seen so far and Katsuki is torn between the two emotions...
Then Izuku's tail trembles slightly as he sniffles under the bed, and that's enough to snap Katsuki into focus.
He slowly walks to the bed and crouches down, bending his neck to see underneath it....
All he can see within the darkness is two shining green eyes looking back at him....
He gazes into those beautiful eyes as he softly calls out to Izuku, using a tone that no one would ever associate to The Bakugou Katsuki, if they ever heard it.
"Hey Deku....relax, it's just me...I'll wait until you feel ready to talk, but when you do....please, tell me what's wrong?"
Katsuki sits cross legged on the floor a few feet away from Izuku's bed, and quietly waits for Izuku's response.
A moment later, he hears his voice, hoarse from crying, reply back to him....
"I-I'm sorry Kacchan! I-I just d-don't want you to h-hate me again! We both worked so hard to get to where w-we are right now, and e-everything was perfectly fine!! Until this stupid quirk thing h-happened..."
Izuku sniffles at the end and Katsuki widens his eyes in surprise at this response.
What?! Why would he think that!
He quickly coos to Izuku, trying to resolve whatever is making him think this way.....
"Deku....Izuku....what makes you think I would hate you?.....Not again, never again....I promise I will never ever hate you. Why did you even think I would in the first place?"
Katsuki waits in anticipation for Izuku's response.....then he hears shifting from under the bed.
"Y-you promise you won't hate me?"
Izuku asks in a small voice and Katsuki probably would've missed if not for his super sensitive wolf ears.
"I promise. Cross my heart Izuku...."
Katsuki replies softly.
Izuku's tail wags a little when he hears Katsuki's reply....and then he slowly crawls out from under the bed.
Katsuki holds his breath when he's finally able to see Izuku in the light.
Izuku had pointed green animal ears just like Katsuki's, his tail looked bushy and soft to touch, and his sharpened canines glinted when he licked his dry lips.
Izuku was a wolf. Just like him.
And he looked fucking adorable.
....wait, he's a wolf.....that means-!
Katsuki is positively ecstatic at the thought of Izuku being his soulmate.
Izuku on the other hand was shifting nervously, a blush on his cheeks as Katsuki stared at him.
"U-um Kacchan? W-what is it....?"
"Izuku, what animal are you?"
Katsuki needed to confirm it. He needed to know if he was right about Izuku being meant for him.
Izuku hesitates before replying....
"I-I'm a wolf.....just like you."
Silence falls in the room, and Izuku's mind starts going into a panic....
Oh no, I shouldn't have come out, now Kacchan's seen me and now he's gonna hate me for being-?!
Katsuki interrupts Izuku's mental rant by pouncing on him.
Izuku yelps in surprise when his back collides with the ground but is rendered speechless when Katsuki suddenly kisses his lips.
It was an innocent kiss, but it conveyed everything that Katsuki felt for Izuku...
.....so all this time.....
Katsuki pulls away when he tastes something salty on Izuku's lips.....and sees tears sliding down his cheeks.
"Wha-! Izuku? What happened?! Was I wrong? Did you not like the kiss? So you didn't want me as your soulmate after all...I'm so sorry, I just thought-!"
This time, Izuku's the one to interrupt Katsuki's rant. He kisses Katsuki back, conveying his emotions for Katsuki as well....
....You loved me back.
Katsuki freezes in shock, before melting into the kiss....
They stay like that for a moment, Izuku on the floor, trapped underneath Katsuki, but both absolutely comfortable with it, as they kiss each other.
Katsuki is the first to pull away,
".....that, was long overdue."
Izuku giggles as he replies,
"I agree.....I can't believe it took us all this to finally get together."
Katsuki chuckles as he gets up, pulling Izuku up with him.
He gets onto the bed and instinctively circles in place to get comfortable before sitting down cross legged.
Then he realizes what he just did.
.....Did I just-?
.....Did he just-!
Izuku giggles up a storm as Katsuki blushes in embarrassment.
Izuku gets on the bed next, and he ends up doing the same thing, circling the spot in front of Katsuki before lying down curled into a ball, while resting his head in Katsuki's lap.
"Y'know, this is actually pretty comfortable."
Izuku says as he sighs in content.
Katsuki chuckles at Izuku's antics and pets Izuku's hair, scratching behind his wolf ears once in a while, making Izuku hum in satisfaction.
"So....care to tell me where you were and what happened to you since this morning?"
Katsuki questions in a voice that says he definitely won't take no for an answer.
Izuku groans and adjusts himself, so that he's now sitting in Katsuki's lap, his arms and legs wrapped around Katsuki, as he rests his chin on Katsuki's shoulder.
"....this morning....I felt like something was wrong so I woke up earlier than usual, to find these....,"
Izuku gestures to his ears and tail,
"....and I panicked. I wasn't sure if it was someone else's quirk or my own, so I left to find All might, hoping he could help.....when I finally found him, he said he wasn't sure himself.....he doesn't know many of the predecessors quirks and even you know how all of the quirks that've showed up so far are more battle oriented so the probability of this being one of my quirks was really low and- Ow ow ow!!"
Katsuki pulls one of Izuku's wolf ears.
".....you're ranting Izuku."
Izuku pauses and blushes.
Katsuki chuckles at Izuku....and the only warning Izuku gets, is Katsuki's eyes glinting in mischief ... Before he leans in to lick the ear he pulled.
Izuku instinctively hugs Katsuki tighter when he feels a shiver go down his spine because of it.
"S-stop Kacchan~ you know they're sensitive!"
Izuku stutters out.
Katsuki chuckles and pulls back,
"You seemed to enjoy it though~"
Izuku pouts at him, and Katsuki laughs before bringing them back to the topic.
"Ok ok, well, what I want you to explain is why you ignored me by running past me and refused to see me when you got back....and why did you think I would hate you?"
Katsuki asks the last question softly as he hugs Izuku close.
...Well, I guess it's fine if I tell him now....
Izuku ducks his head under Katsuki's chin and cuddles into him....He takes deep breath before replying,
"....when All might found out who caused this and told me the effects of their quirk....I got scared. I was scared that I wasn't your soulmate but....also scared that I was."
A hurt expression briefly crosses Katsuki's face....
"Why? Why were you scared of being my soulmate?"
Izuku pulls back and looks down ashamed....
"I was scared of what you would think....we only just fixed our friendship and things were finally going well between us....But then this quirk happened and if we ended up Soulmates, you'd be stuck with me for life....what if you didn't like that?....I thought you would end up hating me.....and it frightened me."
Tears start to form in Izuku's eyes, just at the thought of Katsuki hating him again.
....what? Seriously? It was just that?! You had me worried for a second dumbass!!
Katsuki cups Izuku's cheeks and kisses the tears away....
"Hey, 'Zuku....remember what I said? I promised I will never hate you again, and I never break my promises.....So now, tell me why you were scared of not being my soulmate?"
Izuku looks into Katsuki's eyes, a blush covering his cheeks as he smiles at him and responds....
"Because, if I wasn't, then it would be the worlds way of denying me the person that I've loved, for longer than you can even imagine."
Katsuki cheeks turn pink at Izuku's response......but he quickly recovers and pulls him in to kiss him passionately.
When they break apart for air, Katsuki gives his reply...
"If that was the case, then the world could go fuck itself for all I care...because even if we weren't Soulmates, there is no way I would ever love anyone but you Izuku....in my eyes, there always was, always is, and always will be only you."
....Katsuki....
Izuku blushes once more at Katsuki's sincere declaration and can't help but kiss him again whilst curling their tails together beside them.
Soon enough, Katsuki pushes Izuku down on the bed, taking control of their kiss.
He nips Izuku's lip and consequently licks it to sooth the pain.
Still kissing him, he brushes his fingers through Izuku's hair, rubbing Izuku's wolf ears in the process and making him gasp.
Katsuki takes that opportunity to slip his tongue into Izuku's mouth.
Both of their tongues tangle together.... exploring, mapping every crevice of each other's mouth.
Katsuki lets a hand slip down to Izuku's waist and then to his tail.....petting it lightly.
And all of a sudden, Izuku moans.
Katsuki pauses in shock and stops touching Izuku's tail.
Izuku immediately pulls back back and covers his mouth, blushing all the way to his ears.
Katsuki stares at him with wide eyes for a moment, before his instincts kick in, making him growl possessively...
Izuku trembles when he hears it....surprisingly, it's not in fear, but in pleasure.
Katsuki smashes their lips together, their kiss a lot fiercer than before....
He continues to brush Izuku's tail with his fingers, making Izuku tremble and moan into their kiss.....occasionally even pulling his tail, causing Izuku to moan even louder.
The sound of Izuku's moans are music to Katsuki's sensitive ears, and he keeps playing with Izuku's tail even when he breaks away to trail kisses down Izuku's jaw and neck, hoping to hear more of his beautiful voice.....
He isn't disappointed.
He looks down at Izuku's dazed expression and something in Katsuki.....his instincts maybe.....tells him to mark Izuku as his, so that the world can see it.
And that's exactly what he does.
He leaves hickeys and bite marks all over Izuku's neck and when he gets to the junction where his neck meets his shoulder.....he bites down.
Not hard enough to break too deep into his skin and make it scar, but enough to leave a mark that would definitely last for more than just a week.
Izuku yelps in both pain and pleasure when he feels Katsuki's sharp canines sink into his skin....
Then he feels something as well, his own instincts, tugging at his heart, telling him to bite back....so he follows Katsuki's example....and bites him.
It's Katsuki's turn to whimper in pain and pleasure, when he feels sharp teeth sink into the junction of his neck and shoulder.
Surprisingly though, he doesn't pull back from Izuku's neck, letting him mark Katsuki, just like Katsuki is marking him.
They stay in place for a moment, feeling unexplainably calm....and once their instincts are seemingly satisfied, they pull away...
A little bit of blood drips from both of their necks at the place they marked each other, and also covers the tips of their sharpened teeth.
In any other situation, they probably would've been worried at the sight of it, but right now they instinctively knew that everything was alright.
The two of them take turns licking the blood off of each other's neck and cleaning the wound, first with their tongues (mainly for their wolf instincts) and then with proper first aid (because they were also humans not just wolves.)
After that, they both lie down, facing each other....Izuku curls into Katsuki's embrace and Katsuki curls around him, creating a small space just for them.
They cuddle together for a while.
After a moment of comfortable silence, Izuku asks a question...
"......So......what do you think that was?"
He glances up at Katsuki knowing that he gets what Izuku means....
Katsuki hugs Izuku closer as he replies,
"I honestly don't know....it felt like my instincts were tugging at me to mark you as mine....."
Izuku nuzzles closer to Katsuki and continues from where he left off,
"....They took complete control of me when you bit my neck, telling me to bite you as well...."
Katsuki concludes both of their findings....
"After that, every thing stopped and....I just felt calm and well...."
"....complete."
Both of them finish at the same time.
They look at each other in surprise, before smiling together.
Katsuki reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone.
He opens Google and looks up wolf mannerisms....
Then he places his phone in the small space between them so that Izuku can see the results as he reads them out.
"It says here, that wolves apparently choose only a single partner for their entire life....they mark their partner by biting their necks to signify them as their 'mate'. Other such mannerisms include scenting, which is basically rubbing their scent on their mate to ward off competition."
Izuku reads with Katsuki, feeling both, awe and slight embarrassment as he asks.....
"Does that mean we're....'Mates' now?"
Katsuki grins at him....
"Not just mates Izuku, wolves find their mate only once in a lifetime....so that means that we're 'Mates for life'."
Izuku grins in happiness as he nuzzles his nose into the crook of Katsuki's neck....then, he notices something that wasn't there before.
"Katsuki.... you smell good.....like really good."
He takes a deep breath as his nose picks up on a tempting aroma wafting from the place he bit Katsuki.
Katsuki chuckles,
"What? Are you seriously that hungry Deku?"
He jokingly asks.
"No! Kacchan I mean it! This smell...for some reason it makes me feel relaxed and...safe..."
Izuku takes another deep breath, melting into Katsuki's hug as his body relaxes....
"It kinda smells like cinnamon and spice..."
Katsuki looks at him surprised....
"Really?....I can't smell anything."
Izuku is lost in Katsuki's scent, and going by the dazed look on his face, he can tell he won't be getting any answers .... So Katsuki decides to search online again.
He quickly finds what he's looking for...
".....it seems that animals release certain pheromones which contribute to their scent....it apparently has the effect of calming their mates....that must be what you're smelling, but that also means it should be the same vice versa...."
He decides to check for himself and slides down to nuzzle his nose into Izuku's neck.
Izuku giggles when Katsuki starts sniffing,
"Kacchan, that tickles!"
Katsuki ignores him and tries to breath in Izuku's scent.......
His eyes widen and he pulls back in surprise.
"....Wow.....it was right....you smell amazing."
He stares down at Izuku's mark, the place where the scent is strongest, before diving back in and taking a deep breath.
Katsuki's muscles relax almost immediately as he takes in Izuku's scent.....
"Hmm....you smell sweet....like pine and honey....maybe wildflowers...."
Katsuki keeps sniffing all over Izuku's neck and face trying to find where else he can smell his scent. He even sniffs at Izuku's wolf ears, making Izuku giggle because of how ticklish it feels.
"K-Kacchan! S-stop!! I told you it tickles!!"
Katsuki pauses....and then smirks.
"Oh? Ticklish huh? .....Reaaaally?"
It takes Izuku only one look at his face to know exactly what is going to happen next.
"Kacchan.....you wouldn't....no, don't do it...Kaccha-HAHAHA!!"
Katsuki doesn't let him finish starts tickling Izuku's ears like no tomorrow...
10 minutes later both of them are lying on the bed laughing, Izuku having gotten his revenge somewhere along the line by finding an opening to attack Katsuki's ears too.
As they begin to calm down, Izuku's stomach grumbles.
Izuku blushes in embarrassment while Katsuki laughs.
"So you were hungry!"
Izuku blushes even more( if that's even possible) and stutters a response,
"S-sorry, I haven't eaten anything since I woke up, thanks to the...you know."
Katsuki smiles at him before getting up,
"Then let's go get you some food...I'm not very keen on you eating me just because I smell good..."
Katsuki teases, and Izuku scowls...
"Hey, i had a bad morning! And I never said anything about eating you.....if anything you'd probably eat me!"
Izuku whispers out the last part while blushing slightly, and Katsuki is rendered speechless when he hears it.
".....Deku, seriously, the next time you say something like that, I will take you then and there."
Izuku blushes all the way down to his neck and gulps, knowing that Katsuki was absolutely serious when he said that.
"Um, why don't we go get some real lunch, Kacchan..."
Izuku jokes and Katsuki chuckles back.
The two of them walk out the door and head towards the common room.

~at the common room~
Todoroki and Shinsou are sitting across from each other, passing a yarn ball back and forth on the coffee table.(yes, it was shocking at first but things haven't exactly been normal all day so everyone's just letting it pass)
Meanwhile Uraraka, Iida, Kirishima and Ashido are taking advantage of their abnormal day by playing cards against humanity.
All of that changes the second Katsuki and Izuku step onto the ground floor.
Everyone immediately turns to face them....something about them getting their attention.
Katsuki and Izuku were smiling as the chatted but stopped when they felt gazes on them.
They looked in that direction....to find 6 pairs of eyes staring at them.
"Hm? Guys? Is something wrong?"
Izuku asks perplexed, while Katsuki stares back at them trying to understand what's going on.
Kirishima is the first to approach them.
He starts sniffing the air around them, circling them as he does....
Katsuki instinctively growls when Kirishima gets a little too close to Izuku, and he immediately backs off in shock.
"What is it shitty hair?"
Katsuki snaps, annoyed by his friends' behaviour.
"Oh...uh, I was just wondering why both of you smell the same....it's like your individual scents are mixed or something......."
Kirishima replies, cocking his head in confusion.
"Yeah, You guys smell like a mix of sugar and spice....they compliment each other well so it's a really good smell!"
Ashido yells from where she stands, a distance away from them.
Izuku and Katsuki look at each other for a moment , before reflecting Kirishima and tilting their heads to display their own confusion.
Shinsou takes that as his queue to speak up.
"Did you guys do it? Have sex I mean."
Everyone in the room blushes especially Katsuki and Izuku.
"No, we did not!"
Izuku yells in mortification.
Katsuki tries to recover from his embarrassment as he asks a question,
"What the fuck made you think that?"
Todoroki responds this time,
"Well, Midoriya has hickeys all over his neck and your scents are mixed, which only happens if animals complete the mating process."
Izuku slaps his hand on his neck and glares at Katsuki, as he whisper-yells.
"Why didn't you tell me?!"
Katsuki only replies with a smug smile.
Izuku pulls one of his wolf ears in revenge.
"OW!! Fuck! ok, I'm sorry!"
Katsuki rubs his sore ear and this time he glares while Izuku smiles smugly.
"Also, your tails have been curled together this entire time, so it's obvious you two are together."
Shinsou adds.
Katsuki and Izuku look down to find that their tails had in fact been curled together the entire time....they didn't even notice!
Ashido is the next one to question them,
".....so if you guys didn't do it, then why are your scents mixed?"
....The two of them look at each other as they think, until Izuku comes up with a probable response...
"Do you think it's because we're mates?"
Katsuki nods slowly as he replies,
"Maybe..."
"Mates?"
Kirishima questions.
Right then Uraraka squeals, scaring Katsuki and Izuku.....she had snuck behind them and was busy examining them.
She abruptly grabs Katsuki's fore arm, catching him off guard, and pulls him at an angle that displays his neck.
"Look! They have matching gauze patches!!"
She yells excitedly, pointing at Izuku's neck as well.
Izuku actually snarls at Uraraka....his expression morphed into something ferocious and ready to bite.....his gaze fixed on the had that Uraraka is holding Katsuki with.
Katsuki looks at Izuku, startled.
Everyone else, including Todoroki and Shinsou, flinch back in shock and fear, when they see their usually soft Midoriya looking so ready to kill....
Iida realizes the problem, and quickly pulls Uraraka's hand off of Katsuki.
Izuku immediately calms down.....then he realizes what he just did.
"O-Oh my god....I'm so sorry Uraraka! I don't know what came over me!!"
Katsuki wraps his arm around Izuku's shoulders and squeezes him lightly.
"Relax 'Zuku, you're fine. Must've been your instincts.....besides you looked so fucking sexy, all ferocious for me~"
Izuku blushes and hides his face in Katsuki's side while everyone else watch their interaction in surprise and mild embarrassment.
"Ok....I would've told you guys to get a room, but I have too many questions.....so spill the beans!"
Uraraka demands.
And so Katsuki tells them the main details, like about the bite, and what the found online about its significance, all of which led up to them now being mates .....atleast according to their wolf side.
Ashido is the first to speak after he finishes,
".....so you guys actually bit each other....."
Kirishima continues for her...
"......deep enough to break skin?! I understand that your instincts made you do it, but still dude!!"
"Wow, I didn't know wolves were so intense~"
Uraraka whistles....
"If its deep enough to break skin, it should've hurt right? Are you guys ok?"
Iida asks in worry.
Izuku looks at Katsuki and replies with a smile....
"Don't worry Iida, it wasn't that deep! Neither me nor Katsuki would ever hurt each other that badly even if we were being forced by instincts.....We'll have the mark for a few weeks but it won't scar, so it's fine."
Katsuki smiles back at Izuku.....but Shinsou interrupts their moment.
"Ah, it makes sense now. You're scents must be mixed because you've already marked each other as mates..... even if you didn't have sex."
Todoroki nods in acknowledgment.
Izuku blushes once again while Katsuki face palms .
"Will you stop with the sex thing!"
Iida yells in exasperation, and the others just laugh at their classmates antics.
After that, everyone there decides to have lunch together while they just talk.
When they finish , Katsuki and Izuku get up to leave and so does everyone else.
"Seriously though, I can't believe you guys finally got together!"
Uraraka exclaims.
" I know right? I didn't think they'd be able to do it by themselves but thank goodness!!"
Ashido yells in joy
"I'm so happy for you guys!!"
Kirishima grins at the two of them.
"Congratz on finally getting together, you two."
Iida adds in.
"Well, figures you guys knew about it...I thought I hid it pretty well..."
Katsuki sighs.
"Are you kidding? It was obvious from day we met you, with the way you two acted around each other.....it was almost like you were exes or something."
Shinsou states.
Katsuki and Izuku sputter at that realization.
"Well, maybe not everyone knew from the very first moment but, by now I'm pretty sure the entire class knows. It was almost painful watching you two..."
Todoroki dead pans.
"I know right? How can two people be so damn dense?"
Uraraka adds.
It feels like arrows are piercing Katsuki and Izuku from all angles as their classmates tease them.
Katsuki gets up,
"ok, ok we fucking get it! Deku, let's go before they make fun of us even more!"
Katsuki drags Izuku out of the common room,and to his own room, leaving his laughing classmates behind them.
....Their tails stayed curled together the entire time.

Once they reach Katsuki's room, They spend the rest of the day curled together in Katsuki's bed, cuddling, talking, sometimes kissing and just breathing in each other's scents...content in each other's arms.
The next morning, Izuku wakes up to find himself snuggled in Katsuki's arms, both of them back to normal, judging by the lack of furry tails and ears.
He notices that he can still smell Katsuki's scent but it's a lot fainter than before without his wolf senses.
....Did he always smell like this? ....I guess I just never noticed....
Izuku gazes at Katsuki while he sleeps...
He looks so peaceful.....childlike almost...
His wandering gaze lands on the mark on Katsuki's neck and he traces it lightly with his fingers.
"You know, I was kinda hoping you'd kiss me awake..."
Katsuki says as he slowly opens his eyes, startling Izuku.
"Kacchan?! You were awake?"
Katsuki smirks and slides down a bit to get his good morning kiss from Izuku's lips, before leaving a kiss of his own on the bite mark he left on Izuku the previous day.
Izuku giggles with happiness at the feeling....he then picks up his phone to check the time....
"Um, Katsuki...As much as I'd hate to move, I think we should get out of bed soon and get ready ....Aizawa would be pretty mad if we ended up late to class..."
He shows Katsuki the time.
Katsuki nearly jumps out of bed the second he sees it.
"Come on nerd! We're gonna be late if we don't move right now!!"
Katsuki shivers when he imagines Aizawas angry face, Izuku laughs and gets up too.
"Yeah, I'm coming....."
Izuku pauses when he realizes something,
"I never actually said it did I...."
Katsuki talks while he gets ready, his back to Izuku,
"Said what Deku?"
Izuku smiles and looks at him...
"I love you, Katsuki."
Katsuki freezes in place for a moment, before he turns around....and out of nowhere, he lifts Izuku into the air and kisses him.
"I love you too Izuku...."
Katsuki smiles softly at him,
".....now go get ready!"
The two of them rush their morning routine and manage to make it to class in the nick of time.
The second they walk in though, they are immediately surrounded by the rest of their classmates , who had apparently heard the news of them getting together,and are bombarded with questions.
Then, one of them notices the matching bite marks on their necks and points them out......making all hell break loose as they get badgered with even more questions than before.
Katsuki and Izuku simply look at each other, chuckling at their situation.
As they think about their next move, Aizawa walks in...
He looks at the chaos in class, and then at the two of them, keeping his gaze on them for a second longer....
He sighs tiredly before telling everyone to take their seats and starting class.

The rest of the day is normal, other than the fact that Katsuki and Izuku stay stuck to each other's side the entire time.
If Aizawa or any of the other teachers notice the bite marks, they don't say anything.
All might ,on the other hand, isn't like other teachers and can't help but blush a little as he struggles to not look at them while he takes class.
Katsuki and Izuku stay oblivious to it all, only focusing on class or each other.
"Hey, Kacchan?"
Izuku asks during lunch...a hesitant expression on his face.
"Yeah, Deku?"
Katsuki, noticing his hesitance, puts his chopsticks down to give Izuku his complete attention.
"Um...well...I was thinking that when we graduate as third years...maybe we could....t-team up? L-like debut as a pro hero duo? Well that's only if you want to-!!"
Katsuki interrupts Izuku's rant by hugging him.
"I'd love that Izuku..."
He pulls away and grins down at him,
"...We would totally kick ass together! Deku and Ground Zero, the best hero duo of all time!"
Izuku laughs at Katsuki's declaration and adds into his excitement...
"People could call us the wonder duo!!"
Katsuki grins even wider,
"Comrades and lovers in fighting crime!!"
Izuku grins back,
"Heroes who laugh in the face of danger!"
Both of them laugh together,
"Yeah, I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!"
Izuku says, excited at the thought.
"Well, whatever happens, we'll always be together! So, we don't need to worry....right Izuku?"
Katsuki smiles at Izuku, his eyes are fiery with challenge and determination.
Izuku smiles too, challenge and determination shining in his eyes as well,
"Right!"
