Chapter Text
He hovers over the place.
He takes a long, deep breath.
His eyes open suddenly.
“I can’t do this. I’m sorry.”
Do you believe in destiny? How much so? Jeon Jungkook believed destiny existed with all his being.
Since he was a child, he was a lucky one. He never struggled finding his place in the world, a nice kid, polite and hardworking, got nice grades and a nice group of friends. He got along with his neighbours and their children too, despite being shy he tried hard to be nice, because his mother said that nice people go further in life, and Jungkook wanted that.
When he was fifteen, to the delight of his family, shy and small Jungkook presented as an alpha. Alphas had it easier, they were meant to go high. Jungkook knew. Singing and dancing were his passions, he wanted to go as far as he could in the entertainment industry, ambition shined in his eyes whenever he practised his choreographies. But his destiny, was not exactly that.
He met his destiny at seventeen years old, walking back home from school, crossing the street.
His destiny was a man, four years older than him, called Kim Seokjin. The literal man of his dreams, had been crossing the street, Jungkook’s neighbour Yoongi by his side, laughing with this obnoxious laugh and glowing. It wasn’t a sunny day, but he was glowing as if he was some sort of ethereal being, his brown hair moved by the wind, his scent travelled to Jungkook’s nose and shook him to the core. He smelt like rose petals mixed with cinnamon and wood. He smelt like the home Jungkook didn’t know he had until he crossed paths with him. From then on, his life changed. His biggest dream, now had a face and a voice, now had dark shiny eyes and crooked fingers.
That was his real destiny, this person, he believed.
