“Hyung, do I have something on my lip?” Jimin asked.
Namjoon turned towards his dongsaeng to see what he was talking about. “Not that I can tell,” Namjoon said.
“Are you sure?” Jimin asked. “I don’t have an ink stain here?” He pouted a bit and pointed to his lips to show what he was talking about.
Namjoon knew he would regret it, but he could never deny a request coming from Jimin. He leaned a bit closer to get a better look. He tried his best to ignore the cooing that came from the fans.
Namjoon looked and he was positive there was nothing there. But then he was staring at Jimin’s lips. He blinked and got himself to snap out of it. There was a fan waiting for him to sign their album next. He kicked Jimin under the table a bit to let him know he wasn’t happy with what he had done.
He never liked when he was sat next to Jimin because Jimin was a relentless tease. He messed around with everyone, but it affected Namjoon a bit differently.
Towards the end of the fansign, they came out from behind the table to talk to the fans a bit before saying their final goodbyes. Namjoon was the first one to make it around to the front, the others were slowly making their way around. It was then when suddenly Jimin ran around the table holding a fake rose that one of the fans had gifted him.
He got down on one knee and held it out to Namjoon. Namjoon tried his best to remain calm. He waved Jimin away, but he couldn’t bring himself to say no. He could never say no to Jimin.
“I have to talk to my mother first,” Namjoon said. Jimin grinned at him and stood up. Thankfully, the other members were there now so he could put some distance between himself and Jimin.
He somehow got through the final goodbyes and as soon as they were backstage, Jimin was jumping on his back.
“Hyung, give me a piggyback ride!” Jimin said. He was already clinging onto his back.
“Jiminie… I’m tired,” Namjoon complained.
“I am too,” Jimin whined, burying his face in the back of Namjoon’s neck.
“Gross,” Yoongi commented.
Namjoon glared at him out of the corner of his eyes. Despite his protests, he ended up carrying Jimin all the way to the back. He set him down on a couch in the back rooms where they had gotten ready. After fansigns they typically had to hang out for a bit for most of the fans would leave first.
Namjoon took a seat next to Jimin and Jimin wasted no time sliding closer to Namjoon. Namjoon automatically put an arm around Jimin and played with his hair. “Don’t fall asleep Jiminie,” Namjoon said, noticing Jimin’s eyes drift shut.
“But you’re so comfy, Hyung,” Jimin said, pouting.
Namjoon wanted so bad to kiss his lips at the moment. He held back. Some of the staff weren’t aware of Namjoon and Jimin’s relationship. Several of them had caught on, but they had no way of knowing for sure. While they liked to believe none of their staff would risk their jobs just to expose Namjoon and Jimin’s relationship, they could never be too safe.
“The car’s here, lovebirds,” Yoongi said, kicking Namjoon’s shin slightly. Namjoon looked around the room and realized they were the last ones in there.
He nudged Jimin. When he didn’t respond, he called his name, “Jiminie?” Jimin groaned in response. “Come on Jiminie. We can nap when we get back home, okay?”
“‘Don’t wanna get up,” Jimin mumbled, but he opened his eyes so Namjoon figured that was a step in the right direction.
“You have to babe,” Namjoon said, petting his hair.
This got Jimin moving - he was always a sucker for pet names. “Only if you promise to nap with me when we get back,” Jimin said lifting his head from Namjoon’s shoulder finally.
Namjoon rolled his eyes, “Of course.”
They joined the others in the car. “That took you two long enough,” Taehyung said.
Namjoon didn’t acknowledge him or anyone else’s comments. Jimin wasn’t able to sit next to Namjoon on the way back because the others had filled up the rest of the seats. It was okay though because the car ride was short. Jungkook and Taehyung were playing that game where you place your hands over top the other person’s and try not to get slapped. Hoseok was laughing loudly. The others were placing bets or arguing over the rules.
When they finally got back, the others piled out of the car rather quickly. Jimin dragged Namjoon along by his wrist. “We’re going to Namjoon’s room, you guys better leave us alone!” Jimin announced.
“Ew, don’t tell us that,” Hoseok said, making a face.
Namjoon felt himself go red in the face, “No! We’re just going to take a nap.”
“Yeah, Hoseokie-hyung, get your mind out of the gutter,” Jimin said. Then he added, “We’re just going to be cuddling.”
“Somehow that’s worse,” Seokjin said.
“How is that worse?” Namjoon asked.
“It just is.”
“Let’s go!” Jimin exclaimed, pulling Namjoon along.
After changing into more comfortable clothes, the both of them fell into bed together. It was still too early to go to sleep, but it was nice to be able to take a moment and relax together.
Namjoon kissed the top of Jimin’s head which caused Jimin to look up at him. Namjoon didn’t hesitate to kiss Jimin on this lips as soon as he got the chance. Jimin smiled at him when he pulled away. Namjoon loved his smile - it was contagious. “I’ve been waiting to do that all day,” Namjoon said quietly. Jimin just laughed in response. Namjoon kissed him again. “You and your stupid ink stain,” he said when they broke apart once more.
“I really thought there was something there!” Jimin protested.
“Yeah right,” Namjoon said. “You just wanted to tease me.”
Jimin hummed, “You might know me too well… Are you mad?”
Namjoon rolled his eyes, “Not in the slightest.” He kissed him again. They stayed like that for awhile. Maybe they tried to fall asleep, but neither of them could. Namjoon was okay with that. He was almost even glad for that. He wanted to cherish moments like this for as long as he could. Their lives were so hectic, slowing down felt good sometimes.
