Bio
Hello! I'm PixelKind, but you can call me Pixel. I use she/her pronouns, and am in the latter half of my twenties.
There's a very specific type of story that I find myself writing fanfic about; stories that had incredible potential but, in my eyes, failed to follow through. When I write fanfiction about RWBY or BnHA or god forbid Harry Potter, it isn't in support of the things that they are; it is a rejection of the things that they are and a celebration of the things they could have been.
A lot has changed about the way I write and what I'm writing for; in 2018, I sat down and started writing The Next Great Adventure as little more than a way to avoid thinking about the things I didn't want to think about. Titanium Soul began a little over a year after that, and in much the same manner.
It's 2025 now. I've taken quite a few steps in my personal journey since those days. I've made mistakes and I've done my best to fix them. I've learned a lot about myself, and learned to celebrate the things that set me apart instead of hiding or avoiding them. I have a lot to say, and I think a lot of these ideas have always been bopping around back there; I just wasn't ready to put them into words.
So I'm going to write about being transgender. I'm going to write about being queer. I'm going to write about being autistic and depressed and lonely and scared. I'm going to write about fury and spite and the way the world tries to break you when you refuse to give up the things you stand for.
But I'm also going to write about friendship. Comradery. The jokes and good times, and the thousand shades of love that make life worth living.
I'll close this out with a turn of phrase from my favorite author, Chuck Tingle: Love is real, buckaroos. Now let's show them how we trot.
