Summary
Fear and Dread was All He’d Known…
Born in the dark, raised where little light rarely, if ever, reached, the world had always looked like Hell for him. Dash felt inclined, in every way that he could, to try to be anyone else, to deny the world access to the writhing, wriggling anguish that prickled just beneath the surface of his skin.
It was hard to tell how well he was pulling it off, the lie that carried like a perfect song recited over and over, time and time again until even he’d begun to believe it himself. It was his escape from the noise, the thoughts, the emotions that screamed within his head no matter how often he tried to silence them.
But that was just it.
How long did he think he could continue to run from himself? To hide from the truth of his own ruination?
He was almost certain others could see it, the taint of his hands, the ugliness that stained every inch of him, the filth that defined him.
Yet, in a strange sense, he still tried. Tried to live the lie, to deceive himself and others regarding the basic fact of his being.
And that was he was a soiled thing, something used and forsaken.
Something far too wretched to be loved.

Summary
He was Willing to do Anything to See This Through…
Being born to nobility was hardly a mark of true notoriety. It wasn’t enough to possess wealth and honorable blood by proxy, not when the greater testament to birthright claim was through the procurement of status all your own.
Hans had long since grown tired of a life overlooked, not properly given his dues as he’d too often thought in the isolation of his own head and swelling ego, but there was frequently too little he could have done about it. He’d bided his time, watching his chance to stake his claim slip piteously through his pristine fingers due to the order of blood and the distant proximity to the throne that would never be his.
Bitterness surely would have taken him…but opportunity abounds in the far-off sea, where the kingdom of a lonely princess lay, beckoning him.
Hans rejected the idea of delusion, but his could doom and save a dying place like that, rotted on the inside and spreading wide that desolation that swallowed them.
And what better way of ensuring his fame, his infamy, than being the turner of tides?
But there was only the object of claiming it.
And for that, he would do anything.- Words:

Summary
Tampering with the mind is a dangerous, fickle thing.
Every thought, held sacred, is subject to change, readjustment...manipulations of the unsavory kind, too.
M'gann and Conner's relationship was never fair, never even; this is a timeline where the worst of these psychic abilities are put on display, and the effects are far-reaching and corrosive in every sense, and because of them, he would be left to try and pick up the fragments of himself that were left behind.
However few of them there were.
