    Peter comes home from his jungle adventure exhausted, but he doesn't remember much of his time in the jungle. He doesn't know why Wolverine seems to have a newfound respect for him either. And he certainly has no idea where that voice is coming from.

    Originally posted on ff.net two years ago, I was finally ambitious enough to cross-post it here. It is primarily an Ultimate Spider-Man story, but I've added elements of the movies too. MCU sprinkles as I like to call them.

    Aunt May can't forget though.

    I don't have anywhere near as much Loki fic finished or posted as what I've actually planned or written, but it's practically all I'm talking about or writing right now, so I wanted to set this up because I'm anal and I like organizing things, and in case anyone's mostly interested in following that stuff specifically. (Not that I'm prolific enough to make anyone worry about getting notifications for loads of non-MCU fic anyway, if that's what you're here for.)     When S.H.I.E.L.D Academy is attacked by an unknown enemy, Spider-Man and both his teammates and fellow students, including the Avengers, inhale a mysterious toxic gas.

    Later, the heroes who have an genetic animal change start mutating and turn feral. S.H.I.E.L.D is forced to contain them in the abandoned S.H.I.E.L.D Academy while the search for a cure.

    But they discover the horrifying reality that the insane, and feral mutated heroes are getting smarter, and they want to get out. The Avengers, Nick Fury, as well as the other teen heroes are forced to team up with a group of common villains to try and beat this new threat.

    The potion bottle finally comes away from Logan’s mouth with a spit string, and he heaves slightly as he tries to suppress a gag. Laura cackles and smacks his back as he goes to wash it down with his beer, making him cough again, and Tony claps mockingly and orders him a chaser.

    “There is something in that,” Logan croaks, eyes wet at the corners, “That is not on the ingredient label.”

    “Uh, yeah, it's the essence of werewolf,” Wade says. “The lady is a real witch.”

    Logan narrows his eyes at him, and Wade meets his gaze, his own expression manic. Logan is flushed and weepy and the potion dribbling down his chin makes him look like a drooling anime girl and Wade is acutely reminded of why Logan probably responded to his text in the first place.

    “You better fuckin’ hope there’s no actual werewolf in that,” Logan says threateningly.

    Wade sneers, “Oh I definitely hope there is. You ever see that gif of the pineapple in the hydraulic press–”
