Summary
In a world where the terrorist group, Kira, has the ability to kill people without being there, it's up to L, the world's greatest detective, and the NPA to get to the bottom of it all. But when Chief Yagami's son, Light, joins the task force it changes everything. Light knows information on Kira that would lead to their downfall but if he tells anyone his sister will be killed. Light must steer the investigation in the right direction without revealing himself and L must piece together the puzzle before it's too late. At this rate, it's looking like Light might not make it out of this alive.

My take on death note, except many of the characters are genderbent versions of themselves.
Light Yagami has played the role of the perfect student well, but it's become terribly boring. She uses a magical notebook, the death note, to try and fix the world, while an odd lady detective tries to catch her and a fledgling actor tries his best to earn her affection.
This is the updated version of Blue Moon, which I began and then abandoned in 2017...

Mikami, the most disciplined man you'd ever known could only end up with someone who made their own life equally difficult by their own inclination. He wouldn't even entertain the idea of being considered an acquaintance with someone weak willed and poorly minded. Your daily habits, mental timetables, separately tailored to perfection for your own schedules which were only slightly altered to adapt to each other's complimenting presences which reached a new easy flow of a more efficient routine.
So why were these customs, which were sacred to both of you, no longer being followed as diligently?
Why was Teru going to sleep later, waking up earlier sometimes arriving a few minutes late to a plan which was prepared months in advance? Nothing was added to the routine to excuse such delays, so what could have possibly been behind such a change?- Language:

Summary
Takes place while Light and L are handcuffed together, Light can’t remember being Kira,
Light has always had suicidal and self-harming tendencies given the pressure put on him and his own self esteem issues. He keeps getting nightmares of the night an old classmate forces herself onto him which makes his habits worse. No one but Light knows about this all.
Since he was given the notebook most of those thoughts and his habits have slowly but surely disappeared. Though since Light is not currently in possession of the notebook anymore and therefore doesn’t have memory of it, his tendencies have returned. Light can’t act on them though, he can sometimes but barely. After all, he's handcuffed to L and he just can’t allow him to see.
Light is extremely uncomfortable and trying to hide everything from L, after all the scars aren’t old and being so close to someone when he’s so vulnerable is not ideal. Light is having a small crash-out over this and is constantly getting defensive which doesn’t help with L’s suspicions that Light is Kira. After Light wakes up from a nightmare and goes to grab his razor, L wakes up and it doesn’t take long for him to figure out what’s going on.Sorry if It's a bad Summary!

Summary
Settling into the new Kira Task Force headquarters after Light's time in captivity, L makes the decision to be chained to Light and with him 24/7. This decision was, on the surface, meant to create pressure for his prime suspect and to disallow Kira committing more murders under his watch. However, Light is no longer sure exactly why he insisted that he be put into captivity, and he does not quite seem like he remembers or possesses the power to commit murder from a remote location.
As the two of them coexist with forced proximity at all hours of the day, questions of dignity, personal space, and the nature of their relationship arise, all while Light deals with the fact that his father seems to give his ongoing consent to this situation.
[An alternate universe exploring the unsettling details of the 'chained together' situation, culminating in some release of sexual tension with a lot of emotional and character exploration along the way.]

It was subtle, so very subtle that if L weren't confidently in tune with his own abilities he would have thought he imagined the reaction. His father, Soichiro Yagami, tenderly grasped his sons shoulder. He flinched, Light Yagami flinched. He suppressed his reaction as quickly as he made it. So unbelievably minute that L was determined to re-watch the interaction caught on the surveillance cameras tonight, while his suspect was sound asleep. It was so so small and yet visceral in the detectives eyes. He barely heard the words of support Senior Yagami was giving his son. Such kind words, he didn't doubt Lights innocence for a moment.
