Briar collapsed onto his chest, panting heavily. “Mmm, Lachlan…”
“F-feck, ye feel so good… oh, feck, I love you—” He froze as the words left his mouth, realizing he said that out loud.
Briar turned her head to look at him, still breathing hard. “What… What did you just say?”
Lachlan felt mortified, his stomach turning briefly. “I— I meant— I didn’t… shite.”
He covered his face with his hands, feeling utterly embarrassed.
She gently brushed some hair out of his face, frowning slightly. “We can stop if you—”
“No!” His face grew hot with embarrassment, and he cleared his throat. “I mean— no, I… I’m not done yet.”
