Summary
Sunday, November 16th of 1809, 8 people broke the curse in Oakhurst and were finally able to leave. 200 years later, on November 16th of 2006, 4 of the 8 people return back to Oakhurst for their annual tradition of visiting the graves of their long gone friends.
Deep in one of those graves lies a secret, one that waited 200 years to rise once again. Things change a lot in 200 years, some more than others.
Or Scott goes back to Oakhurst and finds a very much alive Avid.

Scott Goldsmith never knew he could feel. He couldn’t cry. He couldn’t love or fear or hate. At least until him. He was so dumb, it almost made Scott smile. They rarely mentioned his name in their apartment. Shelby and Drift could barely hold their tears in when they did. And Scott felt. Everytime. He felt both the warmth that his life brought and the cold that his death brought. He would reminisce of that warmth every time he went to bed. He would remember the time at the beacon just before he was gone, he would remember his silly comments about being cute and handsome. He would remember his name.

Avid has been turned. And suddenly, the already there pull that pulled him towards Scott, has grown stronger and he's struggling to control himself to not just go right to Scott. And he also can't seem to stop his mind from wandering right back to the elder vampire.
Before, he had just hated the vampire for his own trauma with the creatures of darkness.
He hated the vampires for toying and messing with him.
He hated the vampires and how they werent afraid.
He hated that he was always afraid, and that they weren't.But now, he wasn't afraid. Well, he was of the town finding out he's a vampire. But he was sure he could get out of there before they could get him if they wanted to attack.
He wasn't afraid and he wasn't in constant paranoia.-
I would like to say I DO NOT SUPPORT content creator AvidMC at all. This fic is purely based off his character in Vsmp and I will be writing what I love despite recent events of CC!AvidMC being shown to be a horrible person.

"Um." He blinks once, twice and looks away before the third one. Unable to stand how Scott watches him, unblinking in his intensity. "A nest?" Scott's irritation doesn't wane with his answer, if anything — if possible — it only grows stronger. "My nest?" He tries instead.
He looks back into the corner he had claimed as his, a good few feet from his bed and tucked cosily into the corner, safe. The bed he had been gifted, in all its bare-mattressed glory, sat squarely in the centre of the room, exposed on all sides. His nest had walls all around, nestled comfortably where they converged, right in the junction so he can push himself back into the wall and feel secure. Surrounded on all sides and eyes on the door, comforted, even if it's nothing but cold, unfeeling brick.
"That," Scott spits, no small amount of venom in his voice, "is not a nest."
