Butsuma carried him for months, agonizing over how much he might take after his sire. He sent away all the medics and sequestered himself in his birthing den. He bled and suffered to bring the pup into this world, screamed himself hoarse during delivery, wept for the first time in years when he heard those first reedy cries split the air. He feared all the while that the child would betray him with its looks. When he bit through the umbilical cord and finally got to see his firstborn, the relief was overwhelming. He could have hardly made a child more purely Senju in appearance if he took his own clone to bed.
Except for the fucking eyes.
Butsuma and Tajima have always been careful about hiding their dalliances, ensuring that they leave no evidence of their stolen time together: not on their bodies, not on their clothes, not in the places where they meet in the dark and share something dangerously like love.
