Summary
The way they met was fast and unexpected but it cemented a life-long friendship with the four of them boding through their mutual grief and shared trauma. Jacaerys went from being the oldest son and son of three to losing two people he loved and cared for and gaining a new stepfather. Baela is working through her grief of losing her mother and everything that she felt was stable. Lucerys was young when it all happened but he knew deep down that his had consequences and Rhaena never had a dragon, and the shock over losing Vhagar, felt as if she lost her mother all over again. They barely knew each other but they had no one else to trust, so they made sure that their rule was legendary.
