Summary
Tasting ozone, his mouth goes dry as another image haunts him, one that Jayce never got a chance to sample. Viktor, bare, limbs loose and without pain for once. A pretty sight left splayed on the finest bedspread—faultless, pale skin sunk down on crimson silk, Viktor would be kept safe sandwiched between his sheets and Jayce’s body.
Viktor belongs to him.
Shortly after Jayce promises to destroy the Hexcore, Viktor decides to abandon their partnership. Jayce is beside himself, unable to cope… until he gets an idea.
Jayce takes his best friend for his own, with the noble cause of keeping him safe—whether Viktor likes it or not.

“Your coat,” Viktor repeats. “I will attend the meeting, and if House Talis needs to be represented, then it will be. By me.”

Jayce’s hand slides down from his forehead to rest on his shoulder, his fingertips just brushing his neck, which isn’t helping in the slightest. All it’s doing, in fact, is spurring on the heat already building inside of Viktor, fuel to the fire.
Viktor closes his eyes and hopes that none of this is becoming too obvious to Jayce.
“It seems I am… menstruating,” he says quietly.
