The Half-Breed and the Human (Discontinued)

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Notes:

Sorry it took me a little while to get back to this, I got a little right-brained while writing my other story as well as thinking about writing a new story. I know everyone's excited to see how things start out with this and I am too, but take in mind the kind of story this is. If there's any problem with that, I can't help you because this is my story, not yours.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Scavage was stunned by the sight of the human female in the cell next to his own. It was unexpected, he knew of this clan of Thwei-Kya even before he was captured, they were bloodthirsty killers who slaughtered every living being in their path.

He was still alive because he was not a normal Yautja, they wanted to see how long he could withstand the torture he was put through before Cetanu finally took his life. He had no idea why they would keep a human alive, although he suspected that they had plans to use her for entertainment, it was nothing he was not familiar with.

The human female was unconscious although he could not see any visible injuries. He figured that she either had an injury out of his line of sight or she may have been in shock.

Regardless, she was still alive and therefore he knew that she could likely take care of herself. He had been fending for himself for years and he believed that even a human could do it as well.

He had never officially encountered humans himself, although he had heard stories about them his entire life. He heard that some humans were powerful, while others were pathetic.

It was no secret that humans were the result of natural selection and artificial engineering via an incredibly intelligent, inhumanly strong, and rather enigmatic species known simply as the Engineers. It was said that an Engineer volunteered themself to journey to Earth in order to be sacrificed, seeding the planet with their DNA. The DNA had predominantly seeded primates, the ancestors of Homo Sapiens, allowing them to evolve quicker than other sapient species.

Humans were not the only intelligent species in their primitive times, they were others that lived among them and even reproduced with them. Unfortunately, they were all met with natural disasters that could linger for decades. The only reason humans survived to dominate was that they were not as territorial as the other species. While the other species perished as the result of their primitive, territorial nature, humans adapted to their environment, wherever that may be.

It was certainly something to be admired, as it was impressive that a species that only knew how to reproduce, hunt, and skin the fur from their kills. Amusingly, he was reminded of his own species, both halves of his ancestry.

The thought quickly vanished from his mind, the idea that a species that was only just breaching the boundaries of outer space was in any way similar to his was rather disturbing. He had to his fair number of planets over the years, though not many as one his age would have traveled to, meanwhile humans had only just begun to colonize less than a century prior.

He was awakened from his thoughts by a groaning sound coming from the female. She was roused from the state she was in quicker than he would have thought, but he cared very little about it. She could have never awakened and he would have cared less.

She had no idea if she was unconscious for days, hours, or minutes, but she was eventually awakened nevertheless. She woke up to a dark, fairly spacious area; it was filthy, the ground was covered with dirt, feces, blood, and other things that she could not, nor wanted, to identify.

Instinctively, she wanted to begin getting ready for a long day of work, but she knew that would not be possible. She remembered the dead bodies, including the one she saw outside of her quarters, and she remembered the demonic voice and huge arms that took her away.

"Lou-dte-kalei," she heard a gravelly, angry, bitter voice growl.

She looked to the side in the direction of the voice, standing on the other side of a slightly dull yet transparent wall was a blue and green creature similar to what she could recall about her captor. She could tell the creature was a male, he stood about seven feet in height, although he could have been taller, and he was very muscular. He had a large head with long, insect-like mandibles, sharp teeth, deep-seated golden yellow eyes, and appendages similar to dreadlocks at the back of his head.

She had heard reports about creatures similar to his appearance, some that dated back as far as several centuries. Many of the reports were vague with the details, but they all made some kind of reference to hunting. Apparently, these creatures enjoyed hunting anything they deemed to be worthy, worthy of being trophies. The trophies they took were the skulls - and sometimes the entire spinal column - of their victims.

As she continued to look at him, she nearly missed his hand parting away what could barely pass as a loincloth. He held his flaccid penis in his fist as he urinated on the dividing wall. Afterwards, he turned his back to her and sat on a floor as disgusting as the one she had in her cell.

She grimaced, thinking, 'Bastard. What did I ever do to him?'

She was disgusted, but it was nothing she had never seen herself. One of the Colonial Marines had once come to see her and Dr. Illingworth, saying he was having "prostate" problems. As soon as he took his pants off, he urinated all over the floor. The Marine was dishonorably discharged and not another incident like that had ever happened again, only equally disgusting ones with much less exposure.

She wasn't going to fight back, show him that there was more to her than what he might see her as, there was no reason to. Instead, she began to clear a space on the floor for her to lay down on. She had seen things far more revolting than this floor, she was not disturbed.

Before she laid down, she threw a handful of the muck from the floor at the wall. She heard him growl as she bent her arm under her head and laid back on the hard floor.
