How he managed to attach himself to a Malfoy, Tom will never know.
It's already late at night and everyone in the dorm including Draco Malfoy are already deep in sleep. Sensing the clear sign, Tom Riddle emerged from the necklace.
The first thing he noticed is that he is only a puff of smoke, the smoke could vaguely form an outline of his physical body. His eleven year old body. He frowned.
He looks just like those damned ghosts.
Tom wanted to curse out loud but he needs to keep silent. Those damn horcruxes are so troublesome, first they stole his sanity, changed his appearance and now he is not even alive or dead!
He'll need more contingency plans for such situations. But first, collect more souls to get his body back. With this thought he slowly floats out of the dorm and towards the common room.
He remembered putting one of his horcruxes, Rowena's Diadem, inside the room of lost things. But he doesn't even manage to reach the door when he suddenly froze and ropes like restraint pulls him back towards the necklace.
Tom curse silently, the distance restraint is still in tack just like when he was inside the diary. Now he'll need the Malfoy heir to go inside the room, which will be a troublesome task.
Damn it! Why did he even put his Horcruxes so far apart?
His only hope, his wraith that escape from Godric Hollow is wandering Merlin knows where around the world.
He hopes it'll at least sense his appearance and manage to wander back, but even if that happens, successfully entering Hogwarts is still tough luck.
Tom will still need to find a way to enter the Forbidden Forest. The more he thinks about it the more his mood darkened. It seems, like his body his emotions also shrink back to his eleven year old mind.
With a glare he tilt his head downward and stare at the sleeping Malfoy heir, his hair is pale blonde almost silver like the iconic Malfoy hair, pale skin and he still has a baby fat that hides his defined and sharp features. Tom thought, he look almost like Abraxas.
Should he try to manipulate the boy and befriend him? Pureblood wizards are proud and arrogant, yes. But they are easy to manipulate if you know the right way. Especially the Malfoys.
Tom smirk, he'll wait a few more days and approach the boy. He is going to use him.
