Luca was nervous as hell, he could feel it in his chest. That kind that made him want to rub at his chest, like he was trying to get the feeling out. That of course never worked like ever.
He knew that it was nothing big. He was just brining his Boyfriend to a party where he would introduce him to Luca's team. It shouldent be as big of a deal as it felt like in his chest. Yet he couldent stop the felling from filling up in his chest. Like something was going thight around his chest, and thighter.
And thighter.
Thighter
Luca couldent breath. Why couldent he fucking breath?
"Luca! Baby" A voice said snapping him out of his whole little thing. And there he was, Will.
His oh so pretty Will. Will was a little bit taller then Luca, and had black hair. His eyes where the same color as Luca, only a little more dark blue. But Will was not at muscler as Luca. Ofcourse Will didnt need to be just as musclere as Luca, because he was not playing hokcey for a living. No he was doing something so much more cool.
He was working as a paramedic. Will freaking saved other peoples life. He was so fucking cool, like so freaking cool. So much more cool then Luca ever was, like so cool. Luca was just some hockey player who knew how to skate well. Will was actully out there saving peoples lifes, wich was way to fucking cool.
"You okay? We dont have to do this if you dont want t-" Will starts to say and Luca graps his face right away.
"No no this has nothing to do with you" Luca is quick to say. it could never be Will. It will never be him, he is everything for Luca. "It just.... They are gonna be alot, and maybe to much"
"I mean it's not like they are gonna be homopobic" Will says as they walk up to Zane's house. It is babaque time and Luca hasent actully told them that he is brining his boyfriend. Probley should have but he didnt. Everytime he would try and tell them something would stop him from doing it.
Luca knew that it was really just himself that was stoping him from telling the team. Wich was so silly. Because it wasnet like he hide the fact that he was gay. He wore pride flags on his hockey bag, he had gone to the pride parade in Ottawa for 2 years now, and he did play on the probley most queer team in the NHL. So no he wasnet ashamed of the fact that he was in love with Will.
How could you ever be ashamed of someone as good as Will?
No, it was more that he was nervous. Most of the team would be cool about it. No one be homopbic that is for sure. But he was just.
Look Luca just knew that Ilya was going to overreact to the fact that he had a boyfriend. And everyone would want to know everything about him. Luca just didnt want to put Will into that, wich was why they had been dating for 4 months now, and he still had never introduced his team. The only people who had met Will, was some of the WAG's.
Wich was not something Luca wanted to rember. Still so fucking embarising. Rozi had bought him a whole box of condomes after he found out about it.
At the last momment when they where standing infront of the door, Luca turned to Will. "Just... I ehm Roz is probley gonna like really overreact, okay? So just, i dont know, take in stride?"
"What do you mean overre-" Will didnt get to finish, before the door swung open. There stood Cassie, who whole face then broke into a big smile. Okay Luca had told one person that he was brining his boyfriend along. And Cassie had probley told the whole WAG group chat. Was it called that anymore, seeing as Harris was in the chat? Luca had no clue.
"Well hello, Luca and oh you must be Will" Cassie said as she stood aside soo that they could walk into the house. "And what is that you have brought along. I keep telling you, Luca, that you dont have to bring things along"
"Oh ehm well ist wasnet actully me this time" Luca said as he gave her the wine bottel. Normaly he would never buy achole. Because while he was old enough, he didnt actully like drinking it. But Will had thought that they should bring something, and Luca hadent had time to bake anything.
"It is so good to meet you" Cassie said as she shook Will's hand. "Well you know actully meet you, not just see you"
"Yeah it is good to meet you to" Will said with an easy laugh.
That was maybe what Luca liked most about Will. He was allways so easy with his smiles and his laughs. Luca felt like it was like hearing the angels sing everytime Will smiled at him. It would never get old no matter how much the other boy did it. He would just never get over that smile.
Luca might have thought he was ready to do this, but as they walked trough the house, he was unsure. Would it be to much all at once? What if the team did like Will? Would they make Luca break up with Will? He couldent do that, he was pretty sure he was in love with Will. There was so many things that could go wrong. What if th-
"Deep breath" Will's voice said in his ear, and Luca felt himself calm down just a little bit. It might not have been alot but it for sure helped. Will allways did. It was like he allways knew just what Luca needed. Sometimes Luca felt he wasnet enough, but then Will would remind him of all the times he did help. When Will had a bad shift or lost someone, then Luca would be there for what ever Will might need.
"I know" Luca siad as the followed after Cassie and outside. The whole team, plus must of the parterns where there. Actully everyone was their, including the kids of a few teammates. Fucking Great. The first time Luca brings his boyfriend and everyone shows up.
"Look who is here" Cassie said as she walked infront of Luca and Will. "Only 20 minutes late"
"Ah Luca" Bood said and he was about to swing his arm around Luca when he spotted Will. "And who do we have here?"
"Right i ehm... Will this is Zane Boodram." Luca said and he just hoped he was not blushing. He knew he was tho. He could feel it in his cheeks. "Bood meet Will, my ehm you know Boyfriend"
"It is good to meet you" Will said as he shook Zane's hand. It was still awakard enough to cut glass. Or well that was until.
"LUCA" Ilya yelled at the top of his voice from where he was sitting around the fire place with most of the other people. "Come come sit sit"
Luca shared a look with Will as he pulled him over to the group. Deep breaths, Luca told himself. God this was worse then when Will met his mom for the first time. How was this worse? "Hey everyone, this is Will. Will this is ehm everyone. Well mostly anyway"
There was a momment where Luca thinks no one even breathed, but then Shane said "It's so nice to meet you, your a paramedic right?"
And like that more people start asking things. Harris asks about all kinds of sutff, Lapoint and the other "Kids" (wich Luca is apart of but he still thinks it is a stupid name) about the worst emergancy. Then Will gets into a long coversation with Lisa about the health care system, in wich Luca thinks was just about how great nures where.
But the only one who had not said anything, was Rozy. He had just been looking at Will allmost the whole time. When Will would touch Luca, Ilya would stare right at where they where touching
It wasnet like Luca thought that Rozy was homopbic. He was married to a man for crying out loud. It was more that Luca was pretty sure, Roz was just a little bit protectiv of Luca. Okay maybe more then just a little bit
Only after what felt like days of Rozy not talking, he finally said "So Will you like Hockey?"
There was a momment of silence when he spoke, where everyone went quiet. Like none one knew what to do now. As if Roz had brokken some sort of line or something. But Will was much smooth in public then Luka had ever been. So he just went on like nothing. "Yeah i guess, never been the biggest fan"
Again there was another momment of silence. Luca had know that Will wasnet a hockey fan, much more a Luca fan. But he watched basicly every singel one of Luca's games. Unless he was on shift and then he would watch it when he came home. Also that Luca could talk about it to Will, even if he didnt get most of it.
But Luca actully liked that about him. A big part of his life was about hockey. Okay so mostly everything in his life was about hockey. It was also what everyone who knew who Luca was, wanted to talk with him about.
And then Luca meet Will. Will who might have grown up in Ottawa his whole life, but had no clue about hockey rules. Luca had thaught Will the basic things about it all. But Luca also liked not having to talk about hockey with Will.
"Food time!" Bood said comming in from the kitchen. "Food food"
"Did i do okay?" Will said in a low tone, clearly hoping that only Luca heard.
"Yeah you did great" Luca said as they followed after everyone eles into the kitchen
"You sure? I get the feeling that Rozanov doesnt like me" Will said as they stoped before going into the kitchen
Luca got what Will meant, when he first meet Roz, Luca also thought the guy didnt like him. But then so much had happend then. All it took was a little bit of time and some hope and prayers
"He is like that with everyone in the start" Luca said rasing his hands up to cup Will's face running a finger over his cheek. He didnt want Will to worry. Luca didnt like the look on his face
When they sat down at the tabel with everyone eles, Roz and Shane sat across from them. Shane shot both Luca a small smile. Where as Ilya only gave Luca a smile and Will one more over look. Like Ilya was still finding out if he liked Will.
Will spent most of the night by Luca's side. Well that was until Cassie dragged Will away with the rest of the WAG's. Luca watched as he walked away giving Luca a small smile over his shoulder. Oh how Luca loves that fucking smile.
"So you like this guy?" Roz said as he sat down next to Luca. It was the first time all day he had spoken to Luca. Wich was weird as Roz normaly would speak to him all the time. It was probley the whole Will thing.
"Yeah" Luca said as he looked over to where the WAG's where gigling with Will. Will who had that perfect fucking smile playing on his lips. Not the same one he gave Luca. That one was diffrent, that was special. That was Luca's smile. "I really do"
"He seemes good enough" Roz said and Luca turned to stare at him. For some reason it felt nice hearing that Roz liked Will. Wich was silly, because Luca was 20. And Roz was not his parent. He didnt need him to aprove of who he was with. Yet he wanted it. He wanted that sign that Roz liked Will. Because how could you not like Will?
Then Luca said something probley really stupid. "I think i wanna marry him. Wich is silly because we have barley been dating for a year" Luca said as he took a sip of his drink. Soda with no alchole. He might be legaly abel to drink. But he still hated it. The last time he had gotten really drunk, was when he went out with Will to a club.
"When you know. You know" Roz just said turning to stare at Shane who was talking with Troy about something. The two of them had actully become pretty close friends.

"Did you know? When you meet Shane that he was the one?" Luca asked Ilya. He had allways thought alot about their love story. Or atleast more then the other teammates on the team. But that was how it was when you grew up watching them. Their rivalry. Luca still rembers watching the 2017 all stars. Watching them play together for the first time. It had been magic
"I think maybe i did" Ilya said as he took another swig of his drink. Probley some kind of soda mixed with vodka. "But i did not admit it to myself for years, let alone tell Shane about it"
Then Shane came back and sat down in the chair across from Luca and Ilya. "What are you two talking about?"
"Just silly stuff" Ilya said as he then leaned across the space between them, and pressed a quick kiss to Shane's lips. When Luca saw the way the two of them looked at one an other, he could see it. Just how much they where in love.
Did him and Will look at one an other like that? Luca thought he might look at Will like that. But did Will look at Luca like that? Did he love Luca as much as Luca loved him? Most of the time he was pretty sure Will did. But then at other times he was worried that maybe, Luca loved Will more then Will loved Luca.
Luca had never told anyone on the team about his ex boyfriend in his rookie year. He was from back home, and still lived there. But when Luca went home for christmas, he wanted to visit his boyfriend. But when he went over, his boyfriend was cheating with another guy. Luca had walked in on them, stared as they tried to pull apart. Then he just walked out of there
He never told anyone about it. Just stoped talking about his boyfriend to the team. The only person he told was his mom. Only because she asked about him. But the team barley even know thathe had a boyfriend.
"He loves you very much i think" Luca snapped his head to look at Roz.
"What?" Luca knew he had heard Roz perfectly clear, but he just didnt belive what he had said. Because how could Rox know. How could he know that? Was this like how he knew Luca was queer before he ever came out to him? Did Roz just know everything about everyone.
"Will. He loves you very much" Roz said giving Luca a smile. One of thoes where he knew just what Luca thought, even if Luca thought he didnt.
And as Luca and Will drove home that night, when Luca thought that maybe Roz had been right. Maybe Will did love Luca just how much Luca loved Will.
