Carmilla Carmine was already feeling her irritation rising as her phone kept ringing. While the agreements between the Overlords were plenty to keep what peace there was, there were always loopholes of possibilities none of them had considered. Valentino continued to try and force Carmilla to invoke some law to get him his contracts back. The problem was he lost his contracts not by any Laws of Hell but by Limbo, something none of them knew anything about. Even if she wanted to, which she didn't she hated the Vees business and contract practices, she would need to learn what the Laws of Limbo were and which ones Valentino broke. "Can he shut up?" She held herself back from breaking her phone. She'd turn it off if she didn't have to be listening for news regarding her business.
"It has happened only once before of an Overlord rising to power through stolen contracts, let alone two." Zestial gave her a small smile as they walked through the Pride Ring. They had tried visiting the Hazbin Hotel, but it had apparently moved to the Pride Ring's Edge. For what reason was not yet clear, but Zestial found himself excited to meet these new Overlords no matter what. "Two Hellborn Overlords, I remember the times when Hellborn could still reach such a rank," He chuckled in nostalgia.
Carmilla let herself give a small smile in Zestial's presence, "You've told me plenty of those stories, they sound like they would've been better company than some of the Overlords I have had to contend with." She looked ahead, finally seeing their destination. She narrowed her eyes at the sight of two separate construction sites, one connected to the hotel while the other was off to the side and quite larger. "They seem to be trying to make their main place of business appear more fitting for their new position. Hopefully they will talk with us."
Suddenly dozens of long tables and benches appear in the empty area in front of the hotel with a flash of green as Charlie came out of the hotel wheeling a large cart in front of her while pulling another behind her. "Where do you want these Izuku?" She called out and Izuku appeared next to her briefly and gestured to another area before vanishing again. She wheeled the carts over and set them up across from each other. Izuku appeared next to them and set up some more tables piled high with large bowls and a large box. "Okay, looks like we're all ready," Charlie clapped her hands together and smiled widely. It was then she noticed the two Overlords, alongside two other figures coming up behind Carmilla and Zestial. Her smile fell slightly and her stance widened, ready for a fight. "Izuku, company."
Before Carmilla could say anything, Izuku rushed past her and Zestial and then right back the way he came, forcing Vox and Velvet to sit in a new table that Izuku had brought out in the blink of an eye. "Of course, those two just had to come here before we could speak with them," Carmilla tsked. She was pleasantly surprised when Charlie and Izuku waved her and Zestial to come over. "Morningstar, Midoriya, we are simply here to greet you and talk."
"Yeah, look," Charlie gestured for the two other Overlords to take a seat as Izuku put down a tea set and began to pour the six of them all a cup. "We're not giving back the contracts to Valentino."
"Fine, then give him the right to make contracts back," Vox snapped.
Izuku and Charlie shared a look, "Did I do that or you?" Izuku asked her.
"I mean Pucci said we had a bunch of powers as Rulers of Purgatory and Limbo, but which laws was it done by?" Charlie hummed in thought, "I mean... do you think we should lift the restriction?"
"Fuck no."
"Me neither, yeah no we're not doing that," Charlie answered Vox.
Vox's eye was visibly twitching, "Listen here you upstart little shits!" He slammed his hands down on the table, "I don't care that you suddenly decided to become Overlords, there are rules in-"
"We're Overlords?" Charlie interrupted.
"We did call ourselves that when we were kicking Pennywise's ass," Izuku pointed out, "Although we were both pretty heated at the time so it just never registered. But yeah, I think we're Overlords."
"Huh, I'd heard of Hellborn being Overlords in the past," Charlie drank some of her tea, "Oh this is lovely what is this?"
"Green tea with ginger," Izuku answered, "It's very soothing. I started putting together a collection of various teas in the kitchen, you'll have to try the peach tea it is very smooth and soothing."
"Oh that sounds lovely," Charlie smiled, not noticing Vox's anger growing worse. "Maybe we should just do a tea tasting day, that sounds relaxing."
"Enough!" Vox yelled and tried to swipe the tea set off the table, key word tried. Charlie grabbed his arm and held it tightly before his sleeve had a chance to touch the table. "Gekh! Let go of me you hypocritical fucking princess!"
Charlie raised an eyebrow, "Ya know, at one point I might've agreed, but my beliefs have changed. This is my hotel, this is my house, we have offered you hospitality, but should you spit on it then you may face the consequences." Her eyes glowed menacingly, and her crown appeared over her head.
"Stand down Vox. There is no standing you have that can do anything for Valentino," Carmilla scolded him, "The rules you speak of are that we cannot attempt to poach those who are under a contract. This wasn't a poaching, it was a claiming due to breaking laws that had not been enforced until now."
"Yeah that's our bad," Izuku chuckled as he refilled his, Charlie, and Zestial's teacups, "We didn't know about our positions and responsibilities until recently."
"We're still learning everything, and we will be having to look into the other soul contracts to ensure there is fairness to them," Charlie promised with a wide smile. "Although we would like to learn more about the Overlord position. I'll admit most of what I know about it is severely outdated given Dad stopped paying attention the system long before I was born. I mean he built it well but then didn't put in things that would've benefitted it or allowed it to be able to change alongside Hell as new souls enter."
"Zestial and I simply wanted to welcome you. You will be given a message when Overlord meetings are called. As well, since you two are in an alliance we will need details of what your territories are," Carmilla explained.
"It's the hotel for me, although we'll be expanding it," Charlie answered, "Planning to make it into a full-blown resort."
"My kitchen and restaurant over there, damage it and you're dead," Izuku's eyes glowed briefly, and Heart of Gold appeared behind him with the dial turned to zero. "Our territories are officially neutral territory, no one is allowed to fight there and any contracts made there are by our rules of fairness. We can offer a room for Overlord meetings here."
"Look," Charlie took over, "Our goal is to figure out how to be able to redeem a sinner. We learned at the same time we learned of our titles that it is possible, now we need to figure out what does it."
Velvet looked between the two Resort Overlords, "You two are really in sync. You cousin fuckers?"
Charlie and Izuku immediately looked sick, "What the fuck!?" They both yelled at the same time, "Fuck no!!!"
"I have a girlfriend! Plus there's no way in fuck I'd ever sleep with my blood family!"
"Also look, Charlie is definitely a catch but even without her being my cousin she ain't my type."
"Anyone would be lucky to get with Izuku, but he is way too young for my tastes."
Vox and Velvet looked at the two of them with perplexed expressions. 'Good lord they're fucking dorks. How did Val lose to them?'
"We do apologize for intruding on this upcoming event of yours," Zestial bowed his head slightly.
Izuku suddenly disappeared and started making something at the two carts they had set up earlier. "Oh, they've arrived. Would any of you like to stay for some ramen bowls?" Charlie asked as the four Overlords looked behind themselves to see hundreds of sinners approaching. Vox and Velvet recognized them as Valentino's former contracted. "Welcome! We can begin discussing the changes to your contracts once you've had a warm bowl of ramen!" Charlie stood up with a smile. "Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel, soon to be Hazbin Resort! Let's get to work on finding your redemption!"
