"But......for that to happen...i must be gone too..."
Martyna's voice was nothing but a shriek, it quivered as she spoke. Jamie meets her gaze, for a second she thinks he might change his mind; but the rage remains, he points his weapon at her and her eyes fill with terror. Jamie, with no hesitation, brings his finger to the trigger. Immediately, the mysterious girl lunges forward, pushing Martyna out of the way, they stumble to the floor as a gunshot sounds out loudly behind them.
"QUICKLY, WE HAVE TO GO."
The girl grabs martynas hand without hesitation and brings her to her feet, they begin to run towards Shattered Slabs. As they dash through the earthy under-growths of Pleasant Park, they hear stumbling behind them, knowing Jamie is close. They stop running, thinking of a solution quickly; Martyna feels her arm pull, the girl ducks her behind a rock. They wait a while, the girls finger over martynas lips, they watch Jamie dash past, gun in his clutch.
"Thank you..."
Martyna whispers as soon as the girl drops her finger from her lips. The girl just nods slightly, picking herself up off the dirt as soon as the coast is clear. Martyna stands too, slowly, watching the girl in awe. She bites her lip slightly, nervous of what to say next. The girl doesn't seem to be paying attention, looking in the direction Jamie ran; Martyna scrambles for a word to say, anything; but she cant find any, she watches as the girl slowly turns towards her, Martyna smiles warmly, awkwardly. The girl sighs loudly, meeting martynas eyes, her sloppy smile intriguing her slightly, but she doesnt smile back. Martynas mouth opens slightly, her voice quivering, she sounds weak.
"Whats your name...?"
The girl looks at her cautiously, not sure how much to trust Martyna, but she sighs and replies anyway...
"Jagoda..."
